There are no differences in intelligence among races-only differences in intelligence among human beings. Race is something that was created by man as a way to differentiate in society. Any differences we perceive among people are those that have been engrained in us by society. Basically ,we are all the same. We are one race, and that is the human race.
Intelligence depends on a great deal of factors. Genetics play a major role in determing our intelligence level. What "race" a person belongs to has nothing at all to do with it.Someone who is highly intelligent, or blessed with the gift of creativity is far more likely to pass that on to their offspring than someone who is of lesser intelligence. The ability to write, draw, sing, or play musical instruments is passed down from generation to generation. However, you do find the occasional "genius" who is the spawn of average parents. Our genetic makeup predetermines who we are from the moment of conception. There is not much we can do to alter that. However, saying that someone is less intelligent due to their race is like saying brunettes are less intelligent than redheads. This idea quite simply has no merit.
Our culture and level of opportunity also have a lot to do with intelligence. For example, take someone who lives in poverty, and has a high IQ: Due to lack of opportunity, and financial difficulties, he/she might not be able to attend college. Because this person will not have the opportunity to expand their mind to it's maximum potential, his/her intelligence will not reach it's highest level. This does not mean that their capacity for learning is any less than anyone else's.
We think the way we think because society has told us to. Our surroundings have taught us to view certain people a certain way. Not only that, but society has taught us how to feel about ourselves. Often times, we do not achieve greatness because we think we can not rise up from where we came from. This is not true. Some of us are just given more obstacles to overcome than others.
The color of one's skin, or country of origin should never be a factor in measuring their intelligence.Nor should their weight, their height, or the color of their eyes. When society begins to accept that we are all one unified race, then and only then will we find our true intelligence.
