Submitted for your approval: A sort of deconstruction of 911...and it's conspiracy madness. My source? The findings of The institute of technology and standards. Not a blog, not a flimsy documentary (see "Loose change") that offers nothing but sound bytes and rampant logic bending, but the actual, scientifically backed findings, researched by structural engineers, and physicists(to name a few.)See where I'm going already? CONSIDER THE SOURCE. Are so-called "truthers" so driven by agenda they will largely ignore science and reason? This might be important...more on that later. First, the meat and potatoes.
Truther point 1: "Jet fuel (JP4/5) does not burn hot enough to melt steel building supports. This is very true. The FACT is,nothing melted. That was the conclusion of multiple investigators. The "melt" idea was just a theory, one of many ideas put forth during the confusion of that time. What happened was this: A plane flew into the upper structure. The collision damaged the building's fire proofing. A fire started. According to the on scene fire dept, it topped out at about 1100 degrees. Steel melts at about 2600 degrees. No melting...must be a conspiracy right? Wrong. See steel is just iron, smelted with carbon. (metallurgy 101). When it is subjected to intense heat, even a non-melting heat, it undergoes a process called "Carbon Embrittlement" The fire separates the amalgamated iron-carbon, weakening the metal, reducing it's load bearing capacity by over 50%. Anyone who has done even simple construction, will tell you a structures frame is a big puzzle. Load is evenly distributed throughout the entire building. When one piece is broken or compromised, it causes stress and collapse. The fire didn't have to melt steel to cause structural failure. Moving on.
Truther point 2: "What of the visual evidence, and witness claims of secondary explosions in the buildings?" What of them? Even auto-fires have "Blowouts" Fire heats air, air expands rapidly. It's got to go somewhere. BOOM! out the windows. A skyscraper is a pressurized structure, with an average differential of +2-3 psi. Not a big number? A 100 sq. inch window has 2 to 300 lb. of pressure pushing against it under optimal conditions. Along comes a fire, and superheated, expanding air. That 2 to 300 lb. increases exponentially. Couple that with the collapse of the floors above, falling down, pushing more pressure down into as of yet unaffected floors. The result? Failure and "blowouts" A ridiculously common occurrence, not bombs.
Truther point 3: The damage to the pentagon HAD to be done by a missile, or small military jet. The hole is too small, not enough wreckage at the scene." OK folks check this out. There is NO precedence for the study of passenger jet-building collisions. In short, it hasn't happened often enough for ANYONE to speak with scientific authority on what a crash scene of this nature OUGHT to look like. Any so-called expert that says otherwise is misleading you. "Oh, you say the scene looks suspicious? Tell me, how many times have you seen a passenger jet fly into the pentagon? How did it look then?" You get the idea. Nothing but foolishness disguised as logic. What of the C-130 seen in the airspace prior to the impact? Said aircraft was part of a local reserve squadron, doing a routine flight. The pilot called ATC and reported a passenger jet on a dangerously concurrent course just prior to the impact. If the gov't sent up a c-130 to drop a missile or bomb on the pentagon,(Never mind the fact that the only REAL weaponized C-130, the AC-130 specter (better known as "spooky") is a GUNSHIP, utilizing 40mm cannons and a 105mm howitzer, not missiles, is a separate species altogether, although some C-130s have been fitted to drop large ordinance, like the MOAB, that requires extensive retro-fitting, leaving a paper and parts trail.), would they actually utilize a reservist aircrew? Part-time soldiers? So much for "black-ops huh? No shady spooks, or gov't assassins, just a middle aged reservist tasked with carrying out the most horrific crime ever perpetrated on American soil. That is ridiculous."The feds took all the video recordings of the impact and won't release them". Well, a crime was committed, the recordings are evidence.....of course they took them. Why won't they release them? Oh I don't know....maybe human decency? Maybe people died in those recordings, and it's not right for the victims families, or a nation in mourning, to have an uncaring media broadcast that horror over and over.(And you know they would, those ghouls love images of suffering.) I suppose if people were shot, the feds would have to "pass the gun around" to the public so we would believe it was indeed, a shooting. HUH?
I will close with one more fact: logistics. It takes months, and an army of engineers and experts to wire a building for demolition. Now we are expected to believe such an operation was carried out, on one of the largest and most populated structures in the world, without anyone noticing. That is a logistical impossibility. Where were the trucks containing thousands of pounds of explosives, and miles of wire and det-cord? Why were no such items found in the wreckage? I guess nefarious agents smuggled it in under their coats, and snuck out the wreckage, completely undetected, despite the hundreds of cameras and witnesses at ground zero. If this was conspiracy, it would have required the collusion of the armed forces, dozens of air-traffic controllers, firemen, police, witnesses, the denizens of the building itself, and the reporters and camera crews who filmed the chaos. We are talking thousands of people. Not 1 has come forward. Nobody has talked. Someone always talks. Someone is always found out. But not this time huh? Maybe thats because there was no conspiracy. Maybe some evil men flew planes into buildings, and they fell down. Maybe it was Americas biggest tragedy, and a sensational story makes it less real, less painful. Maybe "truthers" believe what they believe because it hurts to think thousands of regular people were murdered by strangers. But the FACTS remain undenyable. Uncle Sam didn't do this, didn't cause it, didn't "allow" it, and didn't ask for it. People died, horribly. Shame on anyone who thinks it's OK to play games with the truth, and dishonor our victims. These are America's martyrs. Don't give them any less.
