For clarity we will define the devil as the Bible does, as the father of lies, who came to steal, kill and destroy. If the Bible were the work of the devil, we would not expect it to degrade or overcome him, but to lift him up as victor, not vanquished. From the beginning of the Bible in Genesis to the last book, the Book of Revelation, the devil was cursed, denounced, cast out, angered and overcome. The devil would not have authored that.
Jesus said in John 8:44 "You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."
In John 10:10 Jesus says, "The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The Bible is definitely the Word of God. If someone would want to say there was no God or the Bible was not the Word of God, they would have to account for the thousands of prophecies many of which have already come true and many we see being fulfilled now. It would have to account for the scientific knowledge of the creation that scientists have acknowledged, like the way the world was created, and DNA being made of dust. The medical knowledge would have to be explained and knowledge of the stars. The Bible was correct about the number of stars in various constellations and water in the constellation Orion (more than the oceans of earth). The scientists did not believe it. Some prophecies are just ahead and we can see them forming.
The Bible is a book of truth that continually proves itself by itself and by prophets in other religions and by proofs of the histories that are being found even in our times. Two great scientific type websites that confirm the Bible are ReasonsToBelieve.org and CreationEvidences.org. When the people do not live by the Word of God called Life, they are living in Death, for death is the devil's domain. That is why Jesus said, "Let the dead bury their dead."
The Bible is the Word of God; the devil's part is deception. That is where he blinds the eyes of the religious leaders. When a person does not believe every word of God, he misses the full understanding. God has allowed them free choice to believe and have what they want; we must trust the Word of God to be true and check our leaders of religion and government using the Word of God as the standard. It is our only protection.
The deception continues when a person in a religion with the Bible thinks he is following the Bible. He goes out and proclaims himself to be a follower of the Bible and people disbelieve the Bible because they do not like the character of the person supposedly following. The father of lies has begotten another lie and ensnared another one for his kingdom.
The overcoming is from God's word. Even if there is just one person in the world who truly believes every word, they will see where the world is going wrong and for love for God and the people, they will.warn the people. Once the people and leaders see that they have been deceived and are headed not to prosperity, but to destruction like global warming, energy crisis, pollution, more disease, etc., they will turn to the truth of the simple life that the Bible promotes a land of milk and honey, a garden paradise. That was the goal from the beginning, a garden paradise where you believe every word of God.
Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word out of the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4) And "Not every one that says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 7:21) For those who want to see truth, they will know the Bible is the Word of God and not the work of the devil.
