End malice, selfishness, avarice, abuse, lies, cheating and greed for a start. Without malice there would be no improper inclinations to do harm for no reason. Without selfishness there would be no desire to keep everything only for a small minority. Without avarice there would be no thought of first me, then me and only me. Without abuse there would be no need to fear unfair treatment. Eliminate lies and the food would not be lost, taken to some other location, wasted or destroyed. Without cheating everyone would get their fair share. Eradicate greed and the result would be generosity and fairness for all.
Seven things to eliminate and Africa would be on its way to a much better future. But is this realistically possible? The actions of those who are entrusted with the protection of their countrymen indicate otherwise. But how difficult would it be to put these actions into effect? Well, what has been accomplished so far?
Let us then consider the following actions that would take less of an effort:
Basic human kindness: There are a countless number of men, women and children that are suffering in African countries. A little smattering of human kindness would go a long way to making the situation a bit more bearable until a better solution is found.
Tickle me and I'll tickle you: Sincere cooperation. Wouldn't it work wonders if the officials, distributors and rogue outsiders, would simply take the time to consider the best way to benefit the needy instead of following their own private agenda with no thought for those whose needs are the most pressing?
Care: Just a little care would make all the difference in the world. Don't you agree?
Now one could argue that these are only feelings and emotions. That is true. But the fact is everything that we do in this life is governed in some way by emotions and feelings or lack thereof. It comes from inside of us and we manifest it in different ways. So until we change the problem within nothing concrete will be done on the outside.
Independently of political, economical or military actions, Africa will still suffer until the ATTITUDES of those in power undergo a drastic change and realize that we are all deserving of respect and basic human decency. And the fact that someone is from Africa does not change this fact.
