The Sci-Fi Channel was the home of the phenomenal Farscape created by Rockne S. O'Bannon and Brian Henson for 4 delightful seasons. This action packed adventure ride began with an astronaut named John Crichton (played by Ben Browder) flying his spaceship, aptly named Farscape 1, to prove his theory of using Earth's gravity to slingshot him to the other side of the world. In doing so, he created a wormhole that sucked him into some distant part of the universe and into an alien prison break. A living ship, a Leviathan named Moya with a symbiotic Pilot (voice of Lani John Tupu), carries a crew of escaped prisoners consisting of Ka D'Argo (Anthony Simcoe), a Luxan warrior, Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan (Virginia Hey), a Delvian priest and the deposed Hyperian Dominar Rygel XVI (voice of Jonathan Hardy). After Crichton's ship collides and destroys another vessel, Farscape 1 is drawn into Moya's cargo bay. Moya then uses Starburst, a burst of hyperspace drive that is a Leviathan's only defense mechanism, to escape the Peacekeepers who are using Prowlers to recapture the escaped prisoners and ship. During the Starburst, a Prowler vessel, piloted by Officer Aeryn Sun (Claudia Black), is sucked in with the escaping Moya.

Thus begins the adventure of these most colorful characters. Crichton works to find a way home and in the meantime desperately copes to survive in the bizarre circumstances in which he finds himself. D'Argo, Zhaan, and Rygel also try to find their way home while the Peacekeeper Aeryn finds herself no longer with a home when her commanding Officer Bylar Crais (Lani John Tupu) finds her irreversibly contaminated by her association with these aliens. During their struggles to survive while searching for home, they encounter numerous other aliens and worlds where death sometimes awaits the unsuspecting along with being endlessly pursued by the Peacekeepers, mainly Crais who becomes maniacal in his search for Crichton who inadvertently killed Crais's brother during his entry from the wormhole.

This series with its amazing storylines and dialogue, stunning CGI and special effects produced by the Academy Award winning Jim Henson Creature Shop astonished audiences everywhere with its magnetizing display. The stories told by these characters where brilliant, heartfelt, and remarkable. The viewer was swept away in the adventure of each wonderful episode and left wanting more and awaiting edge-of-your-seat until the following week. This was an addicting series that became
