Rare Beauty

Part 2
Paul offered Veronica his arm which she took as they walked to the limo parked outside of the arena. Veronica could not believe her luck. She not
only got to meet KISS when she thought all hope was lost, but would have the
opportunity of going to dinner alone with Paul.

"After you, Veronica." Paul said helping her into the limo and sliding inside right next to her. Once the limo pulled away Paul asked, "Veronica, would you like a drink?"

"A Dr. Pepper would be great!" Veronica replied. She was glad he offered
her a drink. The screaming at the concert left her parched, so she more than

welcomed the drink.

"One Dr. Pepper coming right up!" Paul said and reached over to the bar.
After grabbing a Diet Coke for himself, he handed Veronica her Dr. Pepper.
Veronica opened the can and couldn't help but notice Paul choosing a Diet
Coke to drink. After taking a sip of her Dr. Pepper, she looked over at Paul and started shaking her head at him.

Paul met her gaze with a puzzled one saying, "What? Is there something wrong?"

"Nothing. It's just that I'm surprised to see you drinking a diet soda with you being so health conscious and all." Veronica said taking another sip of her drink.

"What do you mean? Diet sodas are healthy." Paul said this, leaned to take a sip of his soda, then decided against it, raised an eyebrow, and looked at
Veronica anxiously awaiting her response.

Veronica grabbed her heart and exclaimed in a playful, flirtatious way, "Oh
my God! I'm shocked. You don't know that diet sodas have nutri-sweet which
is aspartame, an element that causes brain tumors?! It's basically fake sugar and you'd be much better off drinking regular sodas with real sugar in it. It's similar to how butter is better for you than margarine since butter is real and margarine is synthetic except not as deadly or unhealthy. I can't believe you, Mr. Health and Physical Fitness doesn't know that! Shame on you."

Paul smiled and gave her a look of admiration. He was impressed with her knowledge and concern for his health. She seemed like an interesting person
to him and he felt even more drawn to her. He also appreciated her compliments about his physique since he was so self-conscious about his appearance. Despite all the women flashing their breasts at him and otherwise throwing themselves at him, he was not conceited or completely self-confident about his physical appearance.

"No, I didn't know that. You learn something new
