Poetry: Picnics

by Katrina Norman

Created on: April 16, 2008

Tall summer grass, swaying in the breeze
whispering leaves rustling in the trees
crystal blue skies overhead
not a single cloud to be found
an old soft blanket laying on the ground
a babbling stream just over there
laying back, without a care
a quiet chorus of singing birds
far off in the distance
creating a dream like memory
perfect for reminiscence
soaking up the tranquility
on this picnic, just you and me
