Poetry: Snapshots

by Raven Storme

Snapshots are memories frozen in time
Moments of a lifetime, to treasure and share,
Smiling faces making us more aware
family and friends, so near and dear
One day may not be here,

Snapshots are glimpses of days gone by
Sometimes they make us laugh,
Sometimes they make us cry
It's so hard to say goodbye
when someone we love dies,

Snapshots keep these memories alive
They make us smile and recall,
Winter, spring, summer and fall
The seasons of our lives.
