Poetry: Love does not die

by Ryan Hart

Created on: April 15, 2008

Love does not die.
With time it grows stronger.
Infatuated it grows from,
our time together becomes longer.

Love does not die.
With effort it will last.
Love makes you trust once again,
and helps you let go of the past.

Love does not die.
Love gives you the will to live.
Inside of your heart grows a feeling,
that you will be dying to give.

Love does not die.
Love brings the hope of your dreams.
Brings truth to a life full of lies,
and can be even more than it seems.

Love does not die.
Yet you say that you love me no more.
You expect me to just let love go,
even as the tears start to poor.

Love does not die.
This must not have been love for you.
Because if you felt the same way for me,
then to me this you would not do.

Love does not die.
A feeling as strong as this you can't rid.
If you say that you truly love me no more,
then I know that you never did.
