Creating Abundance

by Vicki Phipps

Created on: April 15, 2008

Abundance means having more than enough of what you need, and even some things you don't really need like rings, things and dreams. We all want to live abundantly, but some people spend their lives wondering,"What is the secret to creating abundance?"

It's really no secret at all and we don't need to create anything. When God created heaven, earth and the universe, he already created more than enough of everything we need, and even more than we ever dreamed that we could possibly achieve or receive. That's why I believe that we simply forget what abundance means when we choose to believe there's a lack of things.

It's like the guy who died one day and when he arrived at the pearly gates, Peter was there to let him in. When he did, Peter said, "I have some things I want you to see." The guy followed Peter down a hall and to a room in heaven that had been created just for him. The door to this huge room had the man's name engraved in gold.

The guy stood curiously by while Peter opened the door where an abundance of treasures were stored. The guy was surprised, to say the least, that everything he ever dreamed about in his life were there in this room all that time, so he asked Peter, " Why did you wait until I died? Why didn't I get these things in my life?"

That's when Peter sighed and shrugged his shoulders when he replied, "You never received these things in life because you never asked for them."

How To Create Abundance:

1. Ask and believe to receive:

If you don't believe there's a higher being other than what you are able to achieve, you will never live abundantly. No matter how much you acquire in life, you'll never feel that you have enough. The quest for more will blind you to what abundance means and what it brings, so learn to ask that higher being for needs, things and dreams. After that, just believe that God wants more for you than you ever dreamed to receive. He's simply waiting for you to ask and believe.

Remember this:

1. Greed doesn't mean you have too many things. It means you believe there is never enough of anything.

2. Guilt doesn't mean that you are noble or trying to be less greedy. It only means you believe that you are unworthy to receive anything. Abundance can't come to either one.

Once you've practiced asking God for things, you'll learn that the art of asking with faith means that you are worthy to receive. You'll see that greed and guilt has nothing to do with what abundance brings, and you'll be free to receive your dreams.
