Theres nothing like the scream of the fiddle and the classic country twang coming through your radio. Songs like "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" started a new revolution to country music. Country is so versatile, you can go from slow ballads talking about love, to rockin' country that blast through the speaks and makes you get on the dance floor. Classic country music is where it all began.
Classic country, is a solid foundation for any country music you hear today. When youre at a country dance club, songs like Joe Diffie's "John Deere Green" and The Bellamy Brothers "Redneck Girl" start a standard that is very hard to follow. These songs get your boots kickin' on the dance floor, and set a beat that is like no other.
Chris Ledoux has a unique country sound, that is still often plaid today, whether your muddin' in your truck or at a rodeo. Songs such as "Cadillac Ranch" and "Whatcha Gonna Do With A Cowboy" are often still favorites of any classic country lover. Songs such as "Hooked on an 8 Second Ride" are still huge rodeo favorites today.
Classic country also set the trend for some awesome cowboy style movies. Movies such as 8 Seconds, feature country hits that are unforgettable in themselves. George Strait's classics from "Pure Country" are among some of his foundation hits. Of course you cant forget the John Travolta classic "Urban Cowboy" which is usually stacked in any country lovers movie collection. Usually with movies like these, the soundtrack is just as good! These classic country movies lead way to classic country music hits, that are engraved in country history forever.
Classic country may always remain famous for huge powerhouse stars in their beginning. How could you mention classic country without Garth Brooks? His first songs such as "The Dance" "Standing Outside the Fire" and "Rodeo" are rock solid and never forgotten. Garth has such an amazing voice that will always carry through as a star of country music, a definite legend.
Brooks and Dunn set a standard in country. "Boot Scootin' Boogie" is a foundation country hit that can never be replaced. This song, started a revolution for Brooks and Dunn, and was a start for many hits to come.
Classic country music will always prevail in the modern country world we have in this day in age. This set the standard for any country music star. Classic country will never be replaced or forgotten. This is the solid rock foundation of country, the very best country of all.
