My Bleeding Heart......
I'd thought you'd be here forever
I never thought you'd depart
Now two lonely hands
Hold my bleeding heart
My eyes once filled with love for you
Are shrouded by my tears
The love we shared so briefly
Has haunted me for years
My life once filled with promise
Now feels alone and very cold
My body limp and lifeless
My spirit no longer bold
You're no longer here with me
The void too hard to fill
The emptiness left deep inside
Lingers with me still
Stolen life too early
A child without a mother
No justice found in loss
That threatens some days to smother
There's no more guiding star for me
To help me find the way
The loss I feel immeasurable
Still holding tight today

Poetry: Mourning
JUST ONE MORE DAY
She freely gave us life and loved us freely and completely.
She sacrificed her life for us.
She wears a mother's
Dearest mom and little brother,
we hold your spirit close.
We lost you that night,
but will never let go.
A tragedy it seems
By the sun that lifts the shroud
And the night as it soothes the land
Man is indeed in boasting loud
Night and day, up
by Jane Prinsep
Nestled delicately in his caring hands
Every movement, expression; cherished
Muddled months of worried bonding
Self-taught
My Bleeding Heart......
I'd thought you'd be here forever
I never thought you'd depart
Now two lonely hands
Hold my bleeding
