Poetry: Where love leads me

by Kevin Brian Wright

Created on: April 15, 2008

When deep sleep falls upon mortals
and the silence of the ear turns
toward a scale of words from the
boldness of her italic heart. Let our
sweetly kiss be heard by the
lightened saints of heaven as a lovers
prayer

Hungry spirits shall swallow their
true fill of loves divine poison.
Where under the ancient cities of my
humble soul her every living virtue
lights my wind driven breath. And
sparks the delightful air around me in
which I breathe.

If that Arc angel of armored wings
never gave battle to that civil war of
love. I would have never seen such
dear beauty brought forth toward
those majestic hills. Servants of the
stars out weigh the heaven and earth
to whom alone this sacred land we
shall never count the steps of our
fate.
