I started up the two mile hill with my kids and one of someone else's in the car. It suddenly veered out of control and went toward an oncoming car. I wrenched the steering wheel toward the right and headed for a drop-off. I screamed, "Hang on kids, we are going over. Someone shreiked "God help us." Instead of going down, the car lifted up and I found we were on the correct side of the road pointing the right direction. I believe that God sent an angel to help us. Have you had any experiences that only could have been God or His angels?

We always knew Camaille had an angel. She talked to her everyday. She moved about in the living room and kitchen, but no other rooms of the house.
Sadly, one day I inadvertently vacuumed her up into the machine. Camaille came home from MeMe's house and promptly went to the vacuum and began babbling to the machine.
Instead of playing, she sat on the floor in front of the vacuum for more than an hour (she was not quite 2, so that was an eternity). I came and asked what she was doing. She babbled and pointed at the "Bakum Keemer". I opened it, and she clapped her hands as she watched her angel fly out and over to the window over the couch.
She went on her merry way and kept her conversation going and played.
I know it was her angel.

I wonder if we have one or more than one guardian angels. Do they stay on for life?

My son used to googoo towards the ceiling corner just outside my bedroom door when he was aged one and below. No matter where I turned his seater, he would always turn to face that corner. When I chanced on this group, it brought the memories back.
Even till today, when I am late in arriving to fetch him from the bus stop outside his school, angels still watch over him. He will never be alone - God hears his prayer for a companion and either a teacher returning home late or friends living near the school would be with him.

I think they change with our needs. Our autistic sons both DEFINITELY have angels. They have been in horrifically dangerous situations without a scratch. I know Camaille's angel (the one I sucked into the vacuum) spent a time where Camaille did not need her. Sometimes, she talks to her during sleep now.
I think I have probably worn out a few angels myself. God's been the co-pilot all along, but I feel certain He has needed a legion or so to keep me safe from some of the things I have gotten into.

I have felt a number of angels the whole week. It's been a horrid week or fortnight at work and I felt the fiery darts of the enemy. I really cried out to the Lord and He sent angels to minister to my parched soul.
There was even one who comically told me he's been slaying the cockroach spirits in my flat. They just turn upside down and wave their little legs in the air. The best was when I whammed the bathroom door against a croach and didn't notice it but my son did. It was hilarious now that I look back at it.
I thank the Lord for protection in big and little ways.

Angels are never stuck in a corner. Mayhaps they prefer to sit quietly and watch from a corner but they are not stuck. Angels are all around us and on occasion we are graced with a glimpse of them. Blessings to you and your son. It sounds like you have been richly blessed by the angels around you!

When my 2nd daughter was dying of cancer and in the hospital, I took a picture one afternoon in the quiet of our room.
My daughter was resting quietly in her crib and I wanted to treasure the memory forever as I knew that soon, it would be her last rest. I quietly rose and snapped a picture of her resting peacefully. When I got the film developed, there was a woman in the picture that I had never seen before. She wore a soft blue colored dress with a dark blue shawl draped over her shoulders. I knew immediately that she was my daughters guardian angel.
The woman cradled my daughters little face in her hands. She had her eyes closed as if reverant prayer.
All of the other pictures before and after this picture were definitely mine. They were all of my daughter. As I looked closely at the pictures I saw in a few of them a soft blue shade almost as if the light had played against the flash of the camera. But in this particular picture it was very very clear.
I treasure this picture and have it in her scrap book. A favored memory of mine. She was never alone, nor was I during that long difficult time before her death.

I must agree. I think that different angels are given different gifts. As our needs change I think that perhaps our angels trade places. I love the story of the vacuum cleaner and the angel. How precious and quite believable!
Perhaps we have an angel for different phases of our lives. Heaven knows that raising teens can be a challenge and I know that if it weren't for guardian angels that I wouldn't survive having raising 2 kids to young adults, one to a teenager and one on the way! LOL

My oldest daughter, now 25, called me in desperation a few weeks ago. "Mom, I had a blow out on the highway" she cried. "I veered into what would've been oncoming traffic and suddenly, there was absolutely NO traffic". A picture of an angel holding back the oncoming traffic entered my mind immediately.
Less than an hour later she was back on the road with a "donut" tire. "I'm driving slow and to your house" she told me. I began to pray. Within minutes she called again. "Mom, you're never going to believe this, but I had another blow out, my other tire". I asked her what she was going to do and did I need to go and get her?
"no, a man stopped and is helping me he will bring me to your house. I think he is okay." I waited and prayed. Sure enough, 15 minutes later they arrived. The man was in his early 30's and very pleasant though he was dressed in raggedy jeans and had long hair he was clean and well groomed. He assisted us in digging spare tires from under a deck and threw them in his truck and asked if we wanted to ride with him or take my vehicle. I followed him in my car.
Arriving at my daughters car, the rims would not fit her car. I called my step daughters father in law who is a mechanic and he assured me he could mount them immediately. The man took the tires to him and brought them back.
By this time my husband had arrived on scene and introduced himself to the man. The man told my husband that he spent time helping people now. That was his mission in life. He explained he lived in the hills and God told him to come to town today.
After assisting my daughter, the man left. He asked for nothing and refused any money offered to reimburse his time or gas (it was over 20 miles he drove back and forth). He did not leave his number and said that all he asked in return was that we remember to be faithful.
God sent us a guardian angel and saved my daughters life from oncoming traffic that day. I am eternally grateful!

They sure have their fav in my homes! I am certain that there is a special touch of the Lord on David my son.
We've been protected since pregnancy from all kinds of attacks. When I was near full term with him, I was in a cab on a highway when a van swerved into our path. The cab sort of did a side step into another lane (the cab driver was a retired police car driver) while the van slided to the road shoulder and did a flip onto its side.
I've new neighbors upstairs and while my godson's home next door is swarmed with cockroaches (we share a common rubbish chute), angels fighting cockroach spirits seem to be on the alert whenever they come into my home. Last month, three little nymphs were lying on their backs with their little legs waving in the air. The miracle is that they were all in a corner, just where the temporary sealed drainage hole for my kitchen is.
A few days ago, my son saw a cockroach in the corner of the bathroom in my master bedroom. I had just gone in and had not seen it at all. As with the three nymphs, it was on its back, waving its legs in the air.
How powerful prayers are! Jesus never fails to send us aid in our most fearful moments!

Just as friends have different talents and attributes, I think angels do too. Each friend impacts your life in a different way and your relationship is unique. I think angels are similar with different interests and specialties. Some might only come once to save you from great harm while others deal with more boring aspects of your life.

Just a quick clarification! LOL When I said, "one on the way" I meant a child on the way to being a teen ager, not that I am pregnant! Re reading that it sounded that way LOL Thanks!

I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter. I don't know if we can put photos on here but if we could would you consider it? It must be comforting to know her angel was with her.

The one in the pic must be the one on her long way to teens times? :)

Yes, the one in the picture is the one on the way to being a teen. Interestingly, she is another miracle child...she too had the disease that claimed my other daughters life. She survived though we do have some health issues to deal with. She is definitely our little blessing! :)

Thank you JoAnne, You are very thoughtful. I would be happy to post the picture if we are able. It is indeed a comfort to know that God sends his angels to protect and help us. I am often reminded of the story "Footprints in the sand" where there are only one set of foot prints because we are being carried.

We can never tell why God allows some to suffer before death. Your sharing is indeed a comfort to know that we are never alone when we think we are. God's angels are always there to remind us of God's protection and love.
Thank you for this sharing. Perhaps we can start a zone on Angels, if one doesn't exist yet.

What do you think, JoAnne?
I don't think I have the resources to work a full zone and I'm at present working on 3 new zones. My son's and student's biggy exams are another short 5 months away and I' still working hard at http://www.helium.com/zone/2738-Women-in-the-Bible
Give it a go, JoAnne & Linda? We can feature the stories here.

I am willing to give it a go Mun. It would be fun and I always learn when I do something along these lines. By the way Mun, Love your "Women of the Bible" zone! Very educational! I am learning so much from it! Thanks!

Hi, I have totally neglected this group for far too long. Does anyone want to take this over and manage it? I would expect the person to have high standards and fairness in group dealings.
