B Movies
Description:
Aspiring filmmakers and screenwriters often turn to film classics to find inspiration and answers. Although box office success and Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Oscars acknowledge a films quality, for independent and amateur filmmakers, the individual elements that make up the whole can be elusive.
From the opposite end of the spectrum, the film industry’s less polished works, B movies, often fall flat due to one or more failed elements. Be it dialogue, casting, or directing, the poor production quality offers a microscopic view into the fundamentals of film.
Love them or hate them, much can be learned from modern b-movies.
