Connecting With Friends

Friendships

I spent time with one of my best friends today at a festival called "The Chicken Festival", celebrating chickens in a local town not too far from where I live. I watched my friend as she and her other friend were vendors selling artsy, crafty type goods they had made. It made me reflect how long my friend and I have known each other (since high school) and I found myself getting a little choked up and nostalgic as she talked about her daughter turning 6 and having a rough week at school. I remembered all of the changes and events my friend and I had been through and was happy to be in this moment with her at the "Chicken Festival". A-men for chickens!!and don't forget roosters!!
