AuthorUse My Betaville as your Home Base here

Posted on Jan 01, 09 at 07:14 PM

Hi friends,

Many of you (ALL of you?) have mentioned having trouble navigating here in Betaville. Here's my helpful tip:

Once you're "here" you can always find the top-link "My Betaville" in the big blue background header, right next to Search Posts, and above the tab Groups Directory.

As long as you can find My Betaville you can find EVERYTHING here, but esp'y any group you manage or belong to, and any Zone you own or edit.

Hope this little tip helps. I wouldn't know WHAT to do without that link!

LOL...hey, if I have to start figuring out were you are, there's no hope for any of us!

I did as you suggested and looked more closely at My Betaville.  I suppose everyone's bio info is merging over here in one big chunk of a paragraph with no way to edit it.

You won't be surprised to hear that I'm not too happy with all the professional info. spot being 'required' on my page even though I don't have anything to add.   Not that it isn't great for people who have something to put in there; but, those of us who don't look pretty naked.  There should at least be an option to put 'retired' someplace in there other than having to read my bio.

I'm biting my tongue trying not to be too negative.  For a normally positive person, it' ain't easy!

I am trying to like this place but I am finding it difficult. There are so many areas and sometimes, I can't find where to post a reply. This one was easy, but yesterday, I searched and searched and searched until I gave up.

I do like the edit menu, though. It is technical and I ptobably wouldn't use it, but the picture of the little tree gives me some hope. Testing, testing! Body? Bold! Ha, ha! Ha!
