Most writers get overwhelmed when they think of writing their story.
And they KNOW the story’s a good one.
One trick to getting over this hump is to think about the emotion of what your story prompts. When you think of your story, does it make you sad? Angry? Nostalgic?
Do you recall the details with a smile? With bitterness?
Try not to avoid the emotion.
The feelings are the fuel for telling your story.
Take some time … some quiet time … and just lie down or sit in a comfortable chair and mull over the story you’re aching to tell.
