AuthorHow long should blooming Tiger Lilies last ?

Posted on Jun 27, 09 at 11:17 AM

I am so disappointed in my Tiger Lilies....This is the second year that they came up beautifully and lasted only a month....while blooms where still in their prime...they died from the bottom up with all brown stems and leaves... Could it be something else..or am I expecting too much ? LOL

Hi Glory,

My illies have been  long gone and I replaced them with a perennial shrub. Much more suitable for the border surrounding a terrace.  When researching I realize that the lillies would have been better planted in the back of longer blooming flowers.

Thanks Glory for your feedback. I agree with you about the challenges and changes that go along with gardens.   Certainly you are not an oddity...but a pleasure to know.

Happy writing

Olivia
