Let me first begin by asking everyone "What is your understanding of the Presidential job duties, and actually authority?" Growing up I learned a great many things from my Grandmother, and to my understanding the President is not above the law, nor is he to take the law into his own hands. He is to obey the same laws with the same consequences as all citizens. (This is written in the Constitution of The Untied States "All Men Are Created Equal.") Then why is it that to this day he American citizens phone under surveillance without a warrant? When confronted he stated "He didn't need approval of the Superior Court." As an American I do understand the fear and the need to believe that it is due to the possibility of a terrorist connection. (Fear is what holds you from your full potential) Allowing one man to be above the law of the land is a sad mistake that history has shown as with Hitler, "Absolute power Absolutely corrupts."
As a human and as a country what we should always keep in mind is before you can take care of anyone else you must first take care of yourself. Now with this in mind let look back to the New Orleans crisis. For a country that had thousand of troops in a country over seas in order to free the culture from it's lead, in order for the Iraqi ans to grow giving there people freedom, without the terrors of Saddam. We were unable to even get medication to hospitals, food to rescue locations, or help to citizens that were facing unbelievable odds. We actually couldn't even get the president to New Orleans for 4 days. Yes, we have came so far as a civilization that we actually lost good officials due to politicians finding the loitering of grocery stores more of a crisis the starving, and ill. Awaiting rescue. For how many days did I along with many of you look in unbelief wondering who, what, when, and would rescue these pour people. Our own fellow American. While hundred of thousand of troops were over seas rescuing Iranians. With millions and trillions of American dollars being spent in this war similar to the trillions and trillions of dollars that were spent during the cold war. As I learned how the government at this time when our own country was in the worst depression of our time our government had money to build entire cities in order to test nuclear weapon near the Colorado River. Buildings, Roads, Everything that is in a city at the time was built there. Housing 52,000 individuals that constructed it. Simply to destroy it. When threw out America family were homeless and starving. Not only was this a great sad waste of money but these are structures that could of should of housed those that were facing very grime situations. What the people need to do for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to work is to make the president, congress, and the house of representative accountable for there actions. And as Americans we must always remember the old saying "You are only as good as you word!" Do your own research regarding the United Stated there is not one single treaty that we have signed that we have honored. What does that make our word worth? If you think you are different for any anyone of the individuals that these treaties affected. Start looking for how you are similar. The similarities will out weight you difference. Keep that in mind when you are faced with the same situations.

Whether the founding fathers intended for the Unites States Government to be built on the principle of the people or not, isn't the question here. History clearly shows the view that they did not intend to include everyone when starting out with "We the People." However, these were brilliant minds that set about writing the constitution. Even if they never realized that their words would create liberty and justice for ALL, they had been fashioned in just the way to do so. The most beautiful quality that the United States Constitution beholds, aside from it's demand for Life, liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness for every citizen, is that it is forever amendable. This means, quite simply, that if there is flaw in the Constitution, then it can be amended to right it by none other than the people that it serves. This is what our government was founded on, regardless of intent.

Yes, it has been proven that there could be and have been corrupt politicians in the United States. It has been shown that there have been Presidents with agendas of their own, who have regarded only their ideas and, in doing so, have disregarded the people. But, the responsibility of the actions of these men lie on them, not on the principles that our government was built upon.

Perhaps, some people do not feel that the government was built on the principle "of the people" because they feel limited or powerless in the current society. This is practically understandable. It was the same back in the day of the slaves and tradesman before the American Revolution. It takes a UNITED people to come together to make a difference. Hence the name The UNITED States of America. THIS is the way to make a real change on issues that do not seem to ever attain resolution. Find organizations that believe as you do. Found an organization that represents a voice on the issues that you see as problematic. Bring the masses of people together in a united front, and there will be change. There are too many people in this country for our elected government officials to disregard if we firmly stand as one. THIS is what our government and it's laws were founded on, built upon, and maintained for. Our government was built for the people, by the people. If you do not feel that this is the reality of what is happening in the U.S. today, then maybe our officials just need to be reminded.
