Why not ban them from driving cars, drinking alcohol or smoking cigarettes also?
Whatever does domestic abuse have to do with the right to bear arms?
The former is a situation where there was a loss of control that led to physical, psychological or verbal violence.
This needs to be dealt with firmly and sympathetically according to the law and would involve the attention of the proper law enforcement and social services agencies.
The right to bear arms is enshrined in the Second Amendment of the Constitution!
Misguid ed liberals have been wanting to repeal the 2nd Amendment for many years and it seems to me that this topic title is nothing more than a smokescreen to do the same yet again!
Don't mess with the Constitution!
If ever you are arraigned in court and find the whole, and powerful forces of the state or Federal authorities against you- when your resources are spent the Constitution may be all you have standing in the dock with you.
Deal with domestic abuse as domestic abuse should be dealt with per se!
The circumstances of when a US citizen loses the right to bear arms is already adequately provided for in law- 'Felon-Yes!' then 'Guns- No!'

Absolutely !As a person who respects everyones right to self preservation or just the right to bring their fire arms some place to safely practice their shooting skills ,I can`t help but feel that an individual who doesn`t jump into traffic before inflicting pain or harm into another person they`re supposed to love has proven beyond a doubt they can`t be trusted with a fire arm .
Anyone who argues that those who commit domestic abuse have serious problems and need to get help for whatever those problems are ,stop and think for a few more seconds about what we`re discussing .If someone was to walk into a place on their sixtieth birthday drunk ,I would hope someone somewhere would have the sense to see that person has a problem and that it might be a good idea to wait before giving them permission to drive a potential death machine .
If a person wants to teach in a school but has a history of raping children .I truly pray ,those who have been hired to teach and protect our children for the course of the school day will not only inform that person they should go away but to go away in a very fast manner .
BLAH ,BLAH ,BLAH .You get my point .I have a hard time conjuring up any sympathy for a person who can continue living the life they do after hurting someone that they`re supposed to love .Seeing that they have proven they can`t control themselves then it is up to society to help prevent there from becoming an even more sad situation .Either that or we hand their victims(cause we know these people have done this before) a gun and one bullet ,walk away and tell them to, "make it count"
On the other hand if it`s proven they`re illegal immigrants ,hand them their guns back and tell them to have a good day .Cause everyone knows you can`t do anything wrong if you`re an illegal immigrant during an election year or the leading edge of one .
