My friends, another cold war is not looming between the East and West. The same one has always been there. It is a "Hot" war that is coming. The cold war has been on non-stop since the invention of the atomic bomb. It cannot go away until we destroy them all. There is no need for such a destructive object. The Russian empire is not the enemy of our Western Empire anymore. We are our own enemy. In keeping atomic devices we contribute to the tension on our worlds political stage. If an atomic war does come it will probably be between the West and East Asia, particularly China and India, both of which have a population of over one billion and are atomically active. Its up to the people all over the world to call on their governments to put an end to nuclear activity for destructive purposes.

Russia is flexing its muscles again. Putin is putting on a show of military might back home. And he is buzzing around on the fringes of NATO countries with his aging warplanes. To understand why he is doing so, we need to get inside the Russian psyche.

Russian leaders have always had a huge fear that the West does not respect them sufficiently. They hate being portrayed as what they are. A relatively poor country with millions of uneducated people. Putin, like his predecessors back in the 1970s and before, tries to kid the world he is a real power. That is simply not the case.

What he fails to acknowledge is how the West has pandered to his country. For example, Russia is a member of the G8, even though it is not a huge economic power. Yet in return, Russia gets involved in some pretty dirty business, even apparently sanctioning the murder in London of a former Russian spy who defected to Britain.

Image is everything in politics. That is as true in the West as it is in Russia. It's just that the image is different. The recent pictures of a bare chested Putin are laughable. Could you imagine George Bush posing topless to impress the world? (Oh, no, don't put ideas into his head!)

The West is tiring of Russia's antics. We have tried really hard to extend the hand of friendship, but it is being abused by the increasingly dictatorial Putin. There will come a time when some of the Western nations will all but cut ties with Russia. We will end up back at Square One. And, yes, that means the outbreak of the Second Cold War. It's a shame, but Russia is pushing the West into a corner.
