It's a matter of how Paris can profit next through the media interests. Paris and Nicole both are expected to carry out their jail terms. It is said that Paris may have a book deal already lined up just for the release. If there were victims, there would be that good chance that the money Paris would have collected from her prison days would go to the victim fund, rather than herself for her own attorney. Yet nothing like that occurred and she does have the right as an American to take a deal when it is offered. If there were victims, I would say give it to them but since there aren't any, she should get the proceeds.

Paris is scheduled to be released soon as Nicole enters. If someone finds it hard to swallow that each girl will make something from this through the media, try to remember that they have earned the right to tell their version. Constitution and laws would not restrict them from this action in the first place.

To look at this from a different point of view, let us look at where Paris is right now. I had written this article long ago yet in time, the truth came for all to see. Since Paris was released from prison not only has her family restricted her from financial help, she has decided to rearrange her lifestyle and finally do what a responsible adult should do by not leaning on parents as much or other family members for finances. In the last year alone, she had donated money to charities which helps one understand that perhaps she is giving so why can't she take? She should be able to receive a profit for her situation is what the media is collecting from. She has more responsibilities that she never had before, creating her own cash flow. If she was not a celebrity, she should be entitled to a profit since it does not come from harming others. She was noted as saying that she wishes that others learn from her experience which is a wonderful mature side to Paris Hilton.

With all said and done, Paris shines yet this time, she is not only beautiful on the outside, she is much more beautiful on the inside. A lovely package that deserves a little more respect. As mentioned, the media will collect from her situation yet if she is the centered focus and she had not been admitted into jail for harming others than she is entitled to see something from her own story other than the front page news in the tabloids. I vote for her getting some of that revenue for she has worked very hard at cleaning up her act and where there is hard work, there should be profit even if it is reflected from a simple jail term.

Paris Hilton is not just a regular citizen who was arrested. Paris Hilton is a star. When she found herself locked up in the slammer reporters from all types of news, magazines, and tabloids began their search to see how well the slammer would treat her. Would she get special care or would she be treated as an equal to those sharing her cell? This recognition immediately began a profit for Hilton. Profit and recognition both came from a crime in which she had committed. Should she have been allowed to profit from her jail time?

Paris Hilton should have been treated no different than anyone else who has in the past been arrested. The media should not rush to negative actions by stars so they can profit from things in which normal people suffer. Stars should have no special treatment when it comes to punishment for a crime they have committed.

When stars are pasted on TV screens and magazine covers across the nation coming out of a crime with not even a slap on the wrist it shows how much money is favored in our society. It shows millions of people as well as children that money can indeed buy almost anything. This is not the correct view that people should have.

Individuals need to wise up when stories like this are printed or televised. We need to take less interest in negative aspects of famous lives. If we would stop tuning in and flipping pages the media would be forced to take a different approach. Justice for the rich and famous might then begin to show in society. There would be no revenue from sales and there would be no popularity from readers. This would stop the profit from crime. We deserve better for our society and our children than to ravish in the rich and famous being recognized for crimes they have admitted to committing and then walking away losing nothing but a few days of their time.

If you commit a crime you should be forced to do the time no matter who you are, how famous you are, or how much money you have. You should not be treated any different than anyone else. The star is just as much a criminal as the drunken average citizen leaving the bar for the night. If stars were treated equally you would see a decrease in their childish acts of partying, drinking and driving, etc.

We all know this is not how we want our children to grow up acting and these are the people many children look to as role models. Lets stop allowing them to profit from their crime. Lets show them that if they want to make it in the world of fame they must have decent morals and values to be admired by us and our children. Stopping the profit of stars such as Hilton from negative actions would greatly decrease those negative actions altogether.

Hilton should not be allowed to profit from her stories of her jail time. She should serve her time and pay her attorney not her way out of jail. The media should not be allowed contact with her while she is in jail. Once she is out of jail and available to share her stories of her horrible time behind bars average people should not attempt to tune in or purchase. This is the only way to stop stars from profiting from crimes. The media will continue to print and seek out what sells. Presently that seems to be the best crimes stars can weasel themselves out of.
