The theory of Will Hill being presumed overrated is barbaric, and maxpreps comp-stat report says; Will Hill completed 39 passes on 67 attempts with a 58% completion rating. He also squeezed out 791 yards in the air while leading Wr's into the endzone 11 times. Will Hill was so good in 2006-7 season that he gave up 3 interceptions. His interceptions all came in the final game where he was 8 for 15 with 94 yards in the air. Will Hill's best games in the air came when he played Ferris and North Bergen. In the North Bergen game Will Hill was 7 for 11 with 166 yards in the air. He had one touchdown on a 46-yard bomb in a run away game in North Bergen. His next game was Ferris where he was 4 of 7 on 135 yards, where it seem every throw was a touchdown because he had three of them.

He was named Newark Starledgar's Offensive Player of the year. People including Will Hill had doubts to why he was such an offensive threat, well look at these numbers. Will Hill's rushing stats are like this; 60 Carries on 669 Yards with an Average 11.15 yard per play. The longest yards is 66 yards long, and had a rushing total of 12TD's with 55.8 Y/G. That is pretty impressive for a Junior QB sharing time. His Passing stats are like this; He had 39 completions on 67 attempts with a .582 Completion % that brought in 791 Yards.

To add salt to injury his longest pass was 75 yards long; he only threw 3 Int with 11TD's, while is QB Rating 121 with 65.9 Y/G, which was reported by maxpreps. Hill didn't stop there he went on to catch 6 receptions on 111 yards, while bring home one TD. Will hill did all of this splitting time with a senior QB in Shawn Boysen. That is pretty impressive for a kid splitting time, with another QB, and if it weren't for him not being able to adjust to the wind in Giants stadium, NJ would be looking at the greatest QB to ever play in the state. Will don't let one game stir you away from being the best to ever play at the position.

Is Will Hill, New Jersey's top high school football prospect, overrated? Yes.

Let's face it, mostly all of these high school kids are overrated. They go to college to become the kind of player they need to be to make it in the NFL.

Maybe if some of these kids could go straight to the NFL from high school than they would not be overrated, but since that isn't possible than we will never know.

Just as many of these highly rated prospects become busts in college as become stars. The number one ranking given to a kid is pretty arbitrary. Whose to say that one kid is just slightly better than another if they have had no way to match their skills up against each other.

I have never even heard of this kid, though I don't live in New Jersey (luckily), but I am willing to be he will not be all that he is supposed to be.

Always remember that kids like Ladanian Tomlinson, who make it big in the NFL as lightly recruited college kids (TCU) are just as prevelant as kids who are highly recruited in the NFL.

If this kid is number 1 in New Jersey than he should be a great NFL player someday and only then will we truly know if he was over or maybe even underrated.
