"Terrorists!" The West exclaims about the Palestinians. I guess according to some, if you don't side with the US, you must be a terrorist! Guess what that makes me? What I dislike here is that people say that if you give money to Palestine, then you are funding the terrorists. At this point, Hamas could be the closest thing to what we would call a terrorist, and that they are not. We only classify certain groups as terrorists in Israel and Palestine (This is easier to say than West Bank and Gaza), because they do not support western-backed Fatah (a Palestinian group), US-backed Israel, or the US themselves.

Lets look at the two major groups in Palestine. We've got an Islamist, anti-Israel and anti-Semitic group (Hamas) , and on the other side we have a western funded, secular group that has no problem working with Israel (Fatah). To some, they are both terrorists (gasp!), to me you have two different groups, one that wants to cooperate, and another that doesn't. If I had a choice, I would fund the former, Fatah, because they are willing to work with Israel to some extent. Ehud Olmert, Prime Minister of Israel and others, will probably discuss creating a Palestinian state. In my eyes, this would be major progress, but there are some who still cry "Terrorist!". I think these people should stop thinking about things like this, and working towards helping the group that holds more promise for the stability of that area.

Another history lesson must be taught here first. There are no such people as PALESTINIANS. In the aftermath of World War II the entire world was faced with a desperate problem. What to do with the millions of Jewish survivors of the Nazi Concentration Camps? There were no real innocents in this genocide. The British avoided allowing information about the concentration camps true purposes to be released to the general public because of their own military plans. Roosevelt had knowledge, but no actual proof that he could present to Congress before Pearl Harbor and after the attack it seemed senseless to inform the American public of any more of the Nazi atrocities. We were going to fight the enemy on all fronts anyway. In Africa, the Arabs allied themselves with the Nazis during the war so their hands were not clean either.

When the United Nations was formed at San Francisco after the war one of the first items of business was the Jewish Question. At that time there was an area of desolate, uninhabited land under the control of the British Government in the region that for political purposes the British Government named "Palestine". There were absolutely no such people as Palestinians in this region. There were citizens of the various Arab countries that bordered this empty land who were living in these Arab Countries. England fought the formation of the State of Israel with every weapon it had in its diplomatic arsenal. The new global currency was now oil. The oil rich Arab nations had the oil but not the necessary skills to extract, sell or deliver it. Enter the British. They would be very glad to assist. However, they had just one simple request. Could the Arab nations with whom they were forming these new alliances convince some of their people to leave their homeland and literally set up camps in this previously empty land. The Arab nations were very happy to accommodate their new British Ally. The British thought that by suddenly having this formerly uninhabited land filled with people, then of course, Truman would never vote for the existence of the State of Israel. The British THOUGHT WRONG. This British arrogance is the underlying cause of the current problems in the Middle East. If the British Government had not asked the various Arab countries to send anyone that the individual Arab governments wanted to expel to this formerly empty land and call them Palestinians we would not be having this discussion. That being understood, we must now deal with the problems the British and Arab arrogance has created.

Under no circumstances should the United States Government send any aid to any terrorist organization. That the so-called Palestinians elected these Hamas officials to represent them is their problem. It is about time that the people of the United States understand that the only ally the United States has in the Middle East is named ISRAEL. We should be attempting to get this situation under control in cooperation with the elected government of Israel and not go off on random tangents hoping that one or the other of them will produce some great peaceful result. The people living in the area called PALESTINE are second and third generation children of the original settlers. Every single one of them knows from what country their family originates. They are very proud of this fact. Just like the Scots settlers in Northern Ireland who keep records of the Scottish Villages from which their ancestors came. This habit of British arrogance has created massive problems for the world to attempt to resolve on a daily basis. And yes, innocent people do die. However, that is not a reason for the United States taxpayer to constantly fund people who only wish to harm us.

It is definitely not in the best interests of the people of the United States to send any kind of aid to the so-called PALESTINIANS.
