Firstly, before I make my point about the possible reunion of the Spice Girls, I would like to ask, who are these people who write against the reunion?! Did you not grow up through the times when the Spice Girls brought fashon away from Kyle Minogues 80's style stonewashed denim, and added some flair? You evidently weren't a 10 year old, dancing in the back garden during the summer holidays to the sound of 'If you wanna be my lover'.
You may not even, have been one of the teenage girls who were influenced at school by a campaign which used the Spice Girls, and 'Girl Power' to influence young girls to say no, promoting safer sex along with other topics of the day.
It is true that they may not have been the most tallented group to have appeared on top of the pops, however they were the most influential group I have seen in my life time, as I was one of those 10 year olds in the back garden.
In this day in age, with the growth of teenage pregnancy, teenage drug abuse and juvenille crime, I believe that any influence which stirrs away from all of this has to be good, and besides....why not add a little fun to the charts once again! Music has always contridicted the times and the issues of the day. We had women dying for equal rights, and then heard Tammy Wynette sing stand by your man! The Spice Girls hit the nail on the head and did it with style.
I'm sure most of us would appreciate a little zigazig ahhh. I am all for a reunion, "Bring on Girl Power."

The Spice Girls shot to fame in an instant, with a best-seller first CD and popularity out of the roof. Their manufactured pop-star careers were suddenly so in your face that no one on this planet could escape the Spice Girls, even if we tried. They were everywhere during their short-lived, 2 album career, even managing to squeeze out a somewhat tragic fiction film about their lives in that time.
The Spice Girls came to a quick demise because so much fame so quickly got to their heads and made each of the five girls in the group think that they would have a chance at stardom on their own as well. They thought that if they could do it together and receive a share of what they made as a group, their fame and fortune would be just as big on their own, without the need to share their fortune and popularity with the other four members.
This was a misconception. Solo, none of the girls really made much of themselves. There were a few once off hits but otherwise most of them faded into the realm of celebrity past.
The result of these failed solo careers and the reported bitterness since the break up would mean that there is a lot of tension between the five girls now. This would make it almost impossible for them to all come together and get along well enough to have a reunion. While they might be able to hold it together long enough for a single show, it is unlikely that they will all agree enough to make even this happen. Their big egos and false conceptions of how famous they really are will only create difficulties in coming to a decision they all agree with. For this reason, I think a reunion is unlikely for the Spice Girls.
