Wahhabi or the Wasabi Sect of Islam is spreading throughout the western world and into Europe and Americas. This sect originates in Saudi Arabia and they are training new mullahs or imams or Islamic preachers to go out into mosques in western nations and preach the religious ideas of intolerance, hate, discrimination, terrorism and Jihad.
Religious leaders and preachers like Sheikh Yasin, Sheikh Feiz, Dr Ijaz Mian and many others have called for Jihad against non-believers and has called for executions of anyone who converts from Islam to any other religion. Such bigotry and discriminatory and extreme language is a major contributing factor to the rise of Islamic Fundamentalism and Extremism.
Islamic Extremism did not just spring out of nothing, it all started within the mosques. Many young children and young adults are brain-washed into this hate filled religious ideology that teaches to kill and despise non-Islamic people. The real people to blame for the rising violence in Iraq, or the rising Islamic Jihad is the Islamic teachers themselves, the imams and the sheikhs, not president George Bush or Tony Blair.
Inside the Green Lane mosque in Birmingham, a preacher is recorded saying: 'Allah has created the woman deficient.' A satellite broadcast from the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Sheikh, beamed into the Green Lane mosque suggests that Muslim children should be hit if they don't pray: 'When he is seven, tell him to go and pray, and start hitting them when they are 10.' Another preacher is heard saying that if a girl 'doesn't wear hijab, we hit her'.
Another preacher says: 'The time is fast approaching where the tables are going to turn and the Muslims are going to be in the position of being uppermost in strength and, when that happens, people won't get killed - unjustly.' Another speaker says Muslims cannot accept the rule of non-Muslims. 'You cannot accept the rule of the kaffir [a derogatory term for non-Muslims],' a preacher, Dr Ijaz Mian, tells a meeting held within the mosque in Britian. 'We have to rule ourselves and we have to rule the others.'
A recent public opinion poll reported that 40 percent of Muslims youths in the UK wanted to live under Islamic law, this is indicative of a growing state of malaise that threats to destroy Britain's society and core values. "Given their continuous embrace and manifest endorsement of terror activities, this represents not only a political threat but a physical threat which demonstrates their ruthlessness in their commitment to do everything they can to take over our society and to destroy our faith and freedom" said Baroness Caroline Cox said in an address at the House of Lords.
Ideology of intolerance and anger is what is really the cause of this global rise in problems and extremism. Violent Islam is clearly the greatest problem mankind is facing today. The world has went from the problems of Soviet regime to the problems of violent Islamic regime. It is the duty of all human beings, from all paths of life and from all religions, to take a stand and say "No", we are not going to stand for a political agenda by a religious group and take a stand against Islamic extremism. Muslim uprising and intolerance is rising due to the imams and the mullahs who teach such doctrines that contribute to extremism, not George Bush's policy in Iraq or Tony Blair's decision to go to war. The global community must recognize the thread and take a stand against such condemning teachings and violent behavior.

"Modern Muslim Fatwa" needs to be defined. Yet, writers over here or in any parts of the world have not defined it clearly enough for ordinary understandings. In my owned view, there should not be any modernity in religious principles and disciplines as long as it is stated in the Holly Quran. In the process of modernizing Islam by some bad luck leaders in Muslim countries around the world, a lot of fateful things had been happening over the last couple of centuries. Modern Muslim Fatwa does not exist. If not, there have been propaganda stories spread around by the Muslim to Non-Muslim affairs for some unknown reasons.
"Islamic Extremism" also needs to be redefined. It has to be defined in terms of its causes. Present day religious educators are no doubt more knowledgeable. The volume of knowledge in the world has increased tremendously due to technology and research. It is very unfortunate rather to say that some people strictly favors our ancestors and try to justify that they would be more knowledgeable. Knowledge is something that we acquire from existence. According to recent researches, the volume of knowledge that was created 20 years back gets doubled in every 5 years in today's context. Can somebody think of this speed? Speed of knowledge creation and transfer rate is amazingly fast moving.
Precisely, the cause for Islamic Extremism is NOT "fatwa" but something else. Today, there have been a lot of propaganda against "Jihad". Some of the Anti-Islamic agencies consider Jihad as of terrorism which in Islam a compulsory requirement in circumstances. People who love Jihad are sometimes considered Islamic extremists. I strongly protest against this set of belief. It is Allah's (SW) promise to grant countless rewards for those who sacrifice life for Janna-th in the process of Jihad. Therefore, why shouldn't we go for Jihad when the situation arises that it makes compulsory for Muslims?
Therefore, present day fatwa is not the cause for Islamic Extremism. In fact, extremism is all about what people lack from their paradigm of thinking, faith, knowledge and wisdom. People with strong faith in Islam would rather love "Jihad". Sometimes, what is considered extremism is not really extremism in Islam. It becomes more like perceptual framework in their minds. Of course, anything and everything is not appreciated in Islam. Here, what I believe to the most important thing is not identifying extremism. It is how we can manage to ease down the problems of so called "Islamic extremism". If at all, extremism exists in the world it's because of all of us. Every single man has to take part to be responsible for the cause and consequences of extremist activities around the world.
