Should Bush's Attorney General Alberto Gonzales resign?

Hey, Helium writers, the question has become moot. The guy has resigned. Whatever you think of him and the mess he made of his job, he is toast. The yahoo lawyer is probably already on his way back to Texas to represent his rich buddy's real estate interests and to look for ambulances to chase.
Incompetent Attorney Generals is nothing new in Washington. Jack Kennedy appointed his little brother, Bobby, and when asked why, he joked that it would give the kid some experience. Actually, Bobby learned quickly in his on-the-job training, and turned out to be much more effective than everyone expected. However, doubts still cloud the careers of both brothers as to whether his actions may have brought about their murders and who ordered the killings.
Bill Clinton, whose personal legacy may carry as much of a load of questions as the Kennedys, appointed Janet Reno as Attorney General. Her incompetence was blared across the headlines in the horrendous Waco religious cult killings and her disgraceful order to violently snatch that little Cuban kid and return him to Castroland.
Gonzales will be remembered as an AG at least as incompetent as those prime examples, plus the fact that he played fast and loose with the truth about his role in firing members of his staff whose only crimes were being more competent than he could be. His avoiding Congressional committee questions by the excuse of not recalling what happened made him look like one of those Mafia bosses who always looked blankly at AG Bobby Kennedy back in the 60s and barked out the Fifth Amendment excuse.
All we can say about the Gonzales resignation is good riddance, and for many of us, we can hardly wait until that happy day when his boss gets sent down to Texas to join him.

If we ask Alberto Gonzales to resign, we might as well ask the US Government to resign and make way for a Multiracial Multi ethnic Libertarian Green Government.
Alberto Gonzales is being targeted because he is a US Born Latin and the Powers of Congress and the House of Representative are White Anglo Saxon Racists.
Alberto Gonzales was born and raised in Texas. He played by the rules of the USA and obeyed every command from his superiors. This is taking into account the spite of accusations by White Anglo-Saxons who call themselves American, robbed half of Mexican Territory, and committed acts of genocide against the indigenous people of the USA and then have the gall to say "be American".
Alberto Gonzales should try to ride out the storm as best as he could and then write a book about his travails. The rest of Washington should resign.
In fact, I have just decided to expose Washington for the farce it is. Attorney Generals Janet Reno, John Ashcroft and previous Attorney Generals abused their positions. Congressional Politicians such as Chenowith abused their position by having sex in the Idaho Room and there was no potato in her vagina. Hyde and Burton committed adultery in the Capitol.
What about Hillary Clinton and other Democrats who voted for war in Iraq, campaigned for a withdrawal, and now have done an about face? What about the smear campaign that the Republicans and Democrats did against Cindy Sheehan, The Greens, The Libertarians. It is easy to preach human rights abroad and repress it at home.
Conclusion: If Alberto Gonzalez must resign, the entire government from the President to the Council Members of any municipality in the territory of the USA should resign and be replaced by a Constituent Assembly which will reinforce the Constitution with term limits for everyone, getting out of entangling alliances, making government work like a business but with Libertarians and Greens directing the orientation of the USA.
