Does cellulite cause pain? Does it influence your health? Do you get sick of it? Will it shorten your life? Does it cause discomfort? The answer to all these questions is of course no. And that means that it's simply not a disease, but at the best a cosmetic problem for those who want to make a problem of it.

But even many cosmetic problems are just created, so that the cosmetic industry (including cosmetic surgeons) can make a lot of money. Cellulite is something that naturally happens to most women, though some have it worse than others and some people don't have it at all. I don't even know if I have it, as I never paid attention to it. For what does it matter? You could also see those little "dents" as a nice, natural decoration of your body.

Cellulite is caused by fat cells that stick together and make strings. This causes little bumps in the skin and some people have decided that that doesn't look good. But I think that some 80% of all women have this, so you can hardly call it a problem. Maybe if it's really extreme that it's worth trying to do something about it, but so far I have never seen a picture of a women with such extreme cellulite that it would cause emotional problems in mentally healthy woman, who doesn't care more than average about her appearance. And if it would be that bad, then there might indeed be a medical cause. But again, I have never heard or seen anything about that.

The cosmetic industry is genius is creating new cosmetic problems every time again. They make sure that a lot of the "problem" is published in all kinds of magazines and even newspapers, that it will be an item of discussion in television programs and that everywhere it gets a lot of attention. And by the time everyone knows about the "problem" the industry comes with the "solution", usually in the form of creams, sprays or even surgery. But if you look through all those advertisements you see that there's no problem at all and that the industry has just tried to put an idea into our minds, so that they can get our money out of our pockets. And it works, as cellulite is considered a serious cosmetic problem by many women. And as I see that people have even written at the "yes" side of this debate, it has already gone so far that people consider it a medical problem.

Let's please get real. We all have different bodies and that's good. Imagine we would all look the same. Wouldn't that make a boring world? Though I don't use any make-up myself and don't dye my hair to hide the gray, I can accept that people spend money for those things. It's so common to use make-up (and for certain make-ups the idea is thousands of years old), that it can be considered totally normal and acceptable to use it. But it's a quite recent phenomenon that people dye their hair when they start graying. The cosmetic industry told us that gray is bad and they started selling hair coloring products that make them billions of dollars a year. Sweat was never considered dirty, until the deodorant was invented and advertised. And cellulite was never even noticed till we were told that we had a problem.

In my opinion cellulite isn't even a cosmetic problem, let alone a medical problem. And I really hope that serious doctors will understand that and tell their patients that they should better see a psychologist to learn to accept their bodies the way they are. That's much easier, much nicer and much cheaper than all those creams and whatever is on the market (and which never do anything else than make money for the manufacturers).

I believe that cellulite should be treated as a health problem because it definitely is one. Cellulite is caused by a buildup of toxins in the body. When the liver is overwhelmed with toxins it stores them in the fat deposits in the body. Anywhere where problem fat is stored (this is the fat that accumulates in areas of the body such as the hips, thighs, buttocks, and the back of the arms, and seems impossible to get rid of no matter how much weight you lose) that is where the toxins are sent. The body then reacts to the toxins and creates a hard protective shell around the toxin loaded fat cells. This is what causes the "orange-peel" effect.

In order to rid the body of cellulite, the protective shell must be broken down and dissolved so that the fat can be released and the toxins along with it. However, once this happens, the person can become quite ill due to the release of the toxins into the system. The best way to accomplish the elimination of cellulite is to drink plenty of pure water, avoid white flour and white sugar products, eat foods that do not contain chemicals and additives(an organic diet is best), lose weight but do it slowly, and exercise regularly doing both aerobic and weight training exercises. Take fenugreek seeds internally and make a poultice of fresh, crushed fenugreek seeds boiled in one quart of water. Apply to the affected areas two to three times daily. Also before exercising, apply an algae cream and wrap in plastic. This will hold the heat in while you exercise and help burn the fat away. Exercise at a low intensity to burn the fat more efficiently.

Drinking more water and herbal teas will help to flush the toxins from the system helping to prevent too many side effects from the release of toxins during the fat burning process. It also helps to flush the lymph system which tends to be sluggish in people with cellulite. The key is to get the toxins out and try not to put so many back in. Any source of ingested toxins should be minimized or eliminated, including smoking and excessive alcohol consumption of course.

Remember the natural way is always the healthiest and best way to deal with most health problems. If you rid yourself of toxins you rid yourself of cellulite. You will look and feel so much better.
