Who is superior, Superman or Spiderman? The best way to find out would be to let them go at it. However, since we don't have that privilege, we will have to settle it the next best way. First and foremost, we'll need a formal introduction for both of these amazing characters. Let's start with Superman. The man of steel was created by Siegel and Shuster and came on the scene in 1938. He came from Krypton and was given the name Clark Kent. Clark works for a news company and befriends a woman names Lois Lane. He evolved from a reckless powerhouse who would not think twice to hurt foes, to a more wholesome superhero whose only concern is now just to neutralize the threat and rescue anybody who is in danger. To date, Superman's biggest rival is Lex Luthor and he associates himself with the Justice League, including Wonder Woman. The man of steel has paved the way for many of today's superheroes, including Batman. Spiderman came along in 1962, as the alter ego of a teenage boy named Peter Parker. His best friend happens to be a teenage girl and her name is Mary Jane. His rivals include, but are not limited to, Doctor Oc and Venom. All of his enemies are extremely powerful and ensure that Spidey never gets an easy victory over them. Let's compare, shall we? Let's start with Superman. He can fly through the air. He has enough strength to bend steel. He's faster than a speeding locomotive. He can see through walls. He can hear danger from miles away. He can change into his gear in a matter of seconds inside a phone booth. On the flip side, he can be killed effortlessly just by exposing him to kryptonite. Also, he doesn't have a very good disguise. Seriously, how well can a man disguise his face simply by removing his eye glasses and modifying his hairstyle ever so slightly? And call the fashion police, what's up with the briefs over the pants? I'm no sex icon myself, but that's a big no in my book! Now onto Spiderman. The name says it all. He can sling a web, giving him the slight advantage in a toe-to-toe battle with his enemies. He is much more athletic in my opinion, because he swings on his web and climbs buildings. Spidey is rather small, which translates to a speed advantage against the average person. His outfit is much cooler than that of Mr. Kent, by the way. However, Peter runs the risk of getting seriously hurt by not possessing any extraordinary superpowers, other than his Spidey senses. Both superheroes have strength and skill. Both are based in a fast-paced, action packed environment. Both can sense imminent danger. Both have really hot lady friends. I personally get the impression that these guys would have a tremendous amount of respect for one another, as they both realize that it is their duty to use their superpowers for the good of mankind, not just their own good. Stick these guys in the octagon with no superpowers allowed, and young Peter Parker might stand a chance against the more experienced Clark Kent. However, we are not looking to find out who the better martial artist is. We are looking to find out who the better superhero is. Therefore, in an anything goes fight to the death, provided there is no kryptonite in sight, I say Superman makes Spiderman scream for mercy!

Spiderman is way better than Superman. Where to begin- where to begin?
Let's take Spiderman's costume for example. It's got cool webs all over it. It's blue and red like Superman's but there's no stupid underwear over his tights. He has a belt line but not under-roo's. He also doesn't have a cape that's gonna get stuck on all kinds of things. Perhaps in an airplane jet or under a rock. It's easier to quickly grab a cape and bring Superman down, than it is to grab a slick outfit like Spiderman's.
Now lets look at powers. Superman has the whole 'nothing can touch me, hurt me, I've got nothing to fear' thing going on. Unlike Spiderman, he has things to fear, as in family and friends getting hurt. That makes him think, and make better choices. More like us. He has always been more like us, From his body to his mind and the way he lives his life. He is more identifiable. And let's just face it. Throwing webs is awesome.
Spiderman even gets the girl when Superman - he just gets to drool. He's the ultimate boy scout. He's never be anything more than that. But Spiderman, when he's Parker, he's going to school, work, he has Aunt Mae, Maryjane, the black cat. - his life is full of things. Superman just writes for the paper. and wishes that Louis Lane was his. That's it. oh- I almost forget, he wears dumb glass's, like you can't tell that's him. Superman will never have offspring because no mortal human can withstand the strength of a baby like that. It's true that Superman has been out longer, but he's outdated. He's died twice. Spiderman just keeps up the excitement, and has a bigger fan base than Superman ever had. He's always been a trend setter from the comics books to the magazine, and even his cartoons had longer running series than Superman ever did. People can still remember the original Theme song, Superman doesn't have that. He never will.
Everyone is always gonna have their favorite, But when it comes down to who gets the most votes, who gets the most fans. Who sells more of everything, who makes better movies, action figures, who sells more comics. The list goes on and on, But Spiderman comes out on top. Anyway you look at it. Spiddy is the ultimate superhero.
