The answer is obviously the 360.
1. The 360 is affordable and always in stock. The PS3 is a small fortune and impossible to find. As a friend told me, "I went shopping for a PS3 at 5 stores and everyone said, 'No, we don't have one, but do you want a 360 or Wii instead?'" He settled for a 360 and he loves it.
2. Now, all the PS3 lovers say, "We have better graphics, etc." Well, most games are made for the 360 AND the PS3 (MGS4 is an exception). Most game developers don't take advantage of these properties while designing, because they are making the game for the PS3 and the 360.
3. When the PS3 came out you'd have to mortgage your house to buy it, and it didn't have a lot of games. The 360 hit hard right away. It churned out great hits like BioShock, the over-hyped (but still great) Halo 3, GTA IV, Gears of War, and Guitar Hero. The number one reason why i got the 360 is for that reason, awesome games.
4. The PS3 went covert. It came out and then faded. The last time it resurfaced was just recently with MGS4. You never hear about it's "Amazing games" or anything of that nature, yet you still hear people raving about the 360.
5. Xbox also has LIVE, yes, PS3 has some form of online gaming, but LIVE is the big name out there. A single Halo 3 lobby has more that 40,000 players at one time.
6. There are no PS3 specific games except for the already mentioned Metal Gear Solid 4. 360 has GoW, Halo 3, and more.
7. The 360 also had some more driving energy. Off the great hits Halo and Halo 2, everyone heard of the Xbox. Everyone also heard of the PS2, but Xbox was the top-dog in their mind. Everyone ws raving about Halo and that's what people remembered.

In a Gamespot 360 Vs. PS3 Graphic Comparison, the Gamespot Staff voted the 360 the winner in ALMOST ALL OF THE COMPARISON SHOTS THEY TOOK
Texture deatil and lighting really caught the team's eye when reviewing the 360 shots, they also said that the 360 had generally, a better framerate
Many original games are also compatible with the 360, making it more of a 2-for-1 deal.
In Conclusion, the 360 is the best console out there until Microsoft releases Xbox 720, or a console with a stupid name like that. I would strongly and unhesitantly recommend the 360 to anyone who enjoys gaming.

Xbox or play-station 3: which is better
Their have been many arguments regarding the quality of the xbox 360 versus the play-station 3 systems. The xbox 360's fatal red ring of death was what ultimately killed the systems popularity, or ultimately boosted it up as some would debate.
The power of the xbox is intense that much is agreeable, but it can not hold together due to insufficient manufacturing. The ps3 however, has every function that the xbox has and preforms them a lot more smoothly and efficiently.
The fact of the matter is this, when you compare the two the only thing stopping the ps3 from grabbing more purchases is that it costs more, a lot more. In fact the ps3 has grown in more popularity more quickly than the xbox 360 ever did.
Secondly, the graphics possibilities with the ps3 are arguably better. The ps3, while it does not have better in game lighting effects from the software used to produce their 3D images, has a much better sense of 3D texture. Every thing is much more rich in texture in comparison to the 360's graphics. A proof of this information can be found at www.gamespot.com. Well either way, the ps3 is while incredibly expensive, and arguably not worth it's price tag, is still much better in comparison to the xbox 360. Strip the xbox down to a mother board and a controller strip and you get the same thing. Only, the red ring of death occurs a lot more quickly.
So in retrospect of the information before you. There is no real comparison between the two systems. The 360's popularity has gone down many times more than it's hype a few years back. When the red ring of death hit the xbox like a plague their was virtually no stopping the decline in its buyers. However, if their were an argument that could be posed in the 360's favor. The 360 has a very sleek look and has many accessories that truly rivals the ps3's accessories for style thus far. A list and more info on the 360's style accessories can be found at
360style.net. Regrettably the ps3 just doesn't have the necessary apparel that the 360 has. The 360's sleek look gives it's appearance a more fun approach, and invites more people to share in the fun. Many hope that the 360 can have it's bugs and issues fixed soon. Some enjoy the quality of the xbox, and also it's fearsome game play. However, until all of it's kinks are worked out and fixed, it's popularity will not come back any time soon.
