Let me start off by shedding some light on two specific things that have taken place on The View. The first comes after many months of observing the ladies going at it on the show. I'm talking about the level of social consciousness that Rosie brings to the show via her many left sided opinions. The second issue at hand, is the lack of ability to open our minds and let the thought of uncertainty enter our closed circles of values and beliefs.
From Trump, to Ripa in the past months, Rosie has not only managed to get The Views ratings way up, which is not the issue at hand, but has done so by evoking certain issues I'm well assured, most of us wouldn't dare attempt to entertain. She has done as such by provoking our society...one that was to my opinion, literally sleeping on the important issues, (the ones they don't teach us by watching reality television).
Not only did she bring a few controversial conversations to the groups attention, but Rosie has done so with a clear ambition and with the intent to make all of us understand that our society is by all means, far from perfect, and to try correcting our own way of living before entering another because adjusting everyone's way of life to fit our own just doesn't cut it.
There is a reason why we call them the Western and Eastern sides which leaves an underlying understanding that both have a specific, but different way of operating. Let's leave it that way! The Modern world is a creation of our society. Some societies don't even have the presence of the word Modern in their vocabulary, and you know what, it works for them ! Why try to change it ?
I strongly believe Rosie's strong character has shown two things. That when we are fed only one discourse, we help it grow and we nurture the ideologies of the group in question whether that group is democratic or republican. Since these ideologies have been printed in our moral codes and our belief systems, the task of entertaining an open mind becomes even more difficult.
In turn, Rosie also demonstrated with the severity of the choices of issues, how Elisabeth with such a strong sense of political duty towards her political party, could not perform the task at hand I think Rosie was asking of her. To entertain the thought that we (as a western society), try to change everything to fit our own society and better suit us, and how Elisabeth kept a very closed minded discourse all the while trying to redirect the questions that were asked of her (answering Rosie's question with a question). It's enough that the States have to listen to a president who's already let them down so much, why listen to a talk show host trying to convince us even more that there is a dying need to go out there...and what are the reasons...which to our first thought can be clear, but when asked to think about our reasons one more time...it all becomes "a Grey area" ! As THEY call it.
The View aims at one specific thing...to entertain our own view. How is Rosie's departure a proof of our capability to entertain a view ?

Honestly, it is beyond being right or not.
I believe that America is great because we can possess our own opinion on various issues and voice them without being persecuted for it [on the most part]. Sadly, Elisabeth was persecuted greatly by Rosie for respectfully stating her beliefs and views. It is called THE VIEW for obvious reasons, yet Rosie would constantly get on her high horse and negate almost everything Elisabeth had to say, constantly cutting her off.
I recall watching a few of the recent shows and fuming because Rosie would talk over Elisabeth even after she had given her a good amount of time to give her side first. Rosie would tell her that she was too young to know what she was talking about. She was irrational and completely out of line most of the time. After a while, it seemed as if she was out to get Elisabeth and somehow make it all about herself. She overpowered every member on that panel.
Elisabeth, as young as she is compared to the other women, has a lot of thoughtful and wise things to impart. I truly believe that it is not necessarily the number of years that you have under you, but rather the compassion one has towards others and the awareness of the world that one seeks after that truly makes you a person worthy of respect and admiration.
With that said, Elisabeth is far more worthy of my favor than Rosie will ever be. Rosie needs to learn how to respect other people's thoughts and feelings. For someone who is a mother of four children, has faced much hardship over her sexual orientation, and shows so much compassion for the American troops at war, she really doesn't show an ounce of affection towards her own co-star.
