7UP commercials are plastering the television on what seems like every channel on cable television. The commercials claim that 7UP is all natural and the commercials would lead you to believe that 7UP is new, improved, and somehow better than the previous formula. Upon the first taste of new 7UP my immediate reaction was "they've lost a customer". When you take out the artificial flavors in 7UP what you are left with is carbonated water and acid as far as I'm concerned, and the bitter taste just makes the new and improved 7UP anything but new and improved.
So I don't like the flavor, and won't drink the new and improved 7UP anymore, what's the big deal, 7UP has lots of customers? It's probably not a big deal. But to me, the fact that 7UP is deceiving its customers really proves that everyone should stop drinking 7UP solely for that reason. Why is 7UP deceiving its customers? It's with their new claim "all natural". If you have a can or bottle of the new and improved "all natural" 7UP in your house right now, I encourage you to look at the ingredients. Those ingredients consist of carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, citric acid, natural flavors, and potassium citrate.
While the ingredients at first glance may seem like they are "all natural", and most people consider high fructose corn syrup to be nothing more than a form of sugar, high fructose corn syrup is nothing but "all natural". High fructose corn syrup is made by an industrial process, and therefore it is an artificial, chemically made substance, and not an "all natural" substance. As 7UP continues to lay claims to the fact that their new 7UP is "all natural", you can't help but think of the juice commercial where the children are having the school play, and the one child is high fructose corn syrup which has been "chemically altered". Common sense would dictate that high fructose corn syrup is not all natural, and that 7UPs claim that there soda is all natural is absolute nonsense.
So the question becomes, should 7UP go back to their original formula that was not considered to be "all natural"? Should 7UP continue to make their "all natural" version of their soda, but be forced to remove the all natural claim? Or should something else or nothing happen to 7UP for making false claims to the public?
Personally, I believe that 7UPs new marketing campaign is deceptive advertising, and people who buy products because they are all natural, may not think that they have to read the label, because the company says it's all natural and the public believes it. Is the new 7UPs all natural approach and the new not so improved flavor enough to turn you off of drinking 7UP?

I like 7UP the way that it is already. Diet 7UP is my favorite, I love splenda inside diet sodas. Over the years improvement have been made in technology to make things better, and I would not go backwards. If anything 7UP could keep updating its product. 7UP is clear, crisp, and refreshing so I would not want to lose that just to go back to a original version. The formula has a more natural favor today than the original 7UP. Real ingredients are used today with less artificial favorings to weight the soft drink down.
7UP has a good market already with people buying the drink. 7UP has everyone buying and wanting more of it just the way it is now. The original formula might contain ingredients that would be harmful to the health of its consumers. Lots of ingredients inside drinks have been removed, because they have been found to have bad effects on the the body. The FDA might not even allow ingredients that used to be inside of 7UP. To be fair to consumers and future consumers 7UP should not change its updated, safer formula of soft drink.
Everyone has gotten used to the way that 7UP taste now, so why would 7UP change now? 7UP is used in many ways and mixed in drinks and punches with formula that it has right now. Advances have improved the formula of 7UP, so I can not see going back to a less flavorful original formula. 7UP is newer, hipper than its ever been it's like a new clothing style that has come into its own. The new formula of 7UP outshines the old formula of 7UP. Somethings are not meant to last forever like the old formula of 7UP.
Enjoying 7UP's new formula is something that I want to do for years to come. It's safer and more refreshing than the older formula of 7UP. Older is not better in this case it's the more natural taste of lemon and lime that I enjoy over the older formula of 7UP. Using older formulas of 7UP would be more harmful than beneficial to the soft drink. There are many possibilities for 7UP, but going back to the old formula of 7UP is not one of them. The new formula of 7UP is like joy in a bottle, and I do not want my joy to be taken away from me.
The market for 7UP exist in the new formula for 7UP. The market value of 7UP would go down, if it went back to an old formula of 7UP. The dream of a better formula was realized, whenever the new formula for 7UP was invented. The new formula of 7UP is a vision of perfect of 7UP as a soft drink. There is nothing like the new 7UP, and the old formula can not compete with the new formula of 7UP.
