Online college degree programs are extremely helpful to ones career: Online degree programs must meet accreditation; contain demanding intensive, rigorous curriculum; and provide learners with a comprehensive teaching/learning environment.

AVENUES FOR HIGHER EDUCATION GOALS

Being a mother of four children and working full-time, finding avenues to achieve my educational goals have been sated within various higher educational institutions.

Attendi ng and receiving degrees from traditional colleges, adult evening universities, and online universities has given me a broad overview of numerous higher education systems.

I am fully aware of the learning process and demands within most educational settings. I believe in life-long learning, which is a passion, a hobby, and a career motivator because of the benefits acquired.

During my studies for my degrees, I have been able to gather extensive knowledge and research to completely, analyze and evaluate the differing university systems.

ACCREDITATIO N

When any learner is searching for the college that meets his/her needs, accreditation is of the utmost importance. Online accredited universities must meet the same, and at times, more rigorous accreditation demands.

When comparing universities, it is the learners' responsibility to research the accreditation which the college has met. Online colleges are part of the list of universities which students need to investigate to ensure accreditation standards.

When official transcripts are sent to employers, who usually only accept credits from accredited universities, you'll reap the salary benefits.

DEMANDING RIGOROUS CURRICULUM

Online universities contain the demanding, rigorous curriculum which comprises traditional colleges, adult evening sites, and correspondence universities. Comparing the syllabi from the differing university systems evidences online university courses require much more reading, more research, and many more lessons than many traditional colleges.

While attending traditional college and adult evening college, I was able to work in groups, divide course work, divide the reading assignments, and present a chapter of the material learned.

While attending both online universities, I was responsible for every lesson; numerous APA essay format responses per lesson were required; and APA formatted researched papers for each class-most 40 pages plus-was a must.

Thus, the comprehensive curriculum in the online learning format is extremely beneficial to your career because a thorough comprehension of every aspect of the material, the relationship of the content to your career, and the methods to utilize the information within a real-world setting must be completely realized.

COMPREHENSI VE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Online university professors facilitate and foster a comprehensive teaching/learning environment before, during, and after class sessions for every learner.

Learner responses to course lessons for each lesson contain researched-based evidence, and higher-order thinking skills - analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. Learners collaborate extensively with each learner.

Continued collaboration and mentoring occurs, without hesitation, from every university professor - even after courses end, fulfillment of learners' requests for continued academic advising occurs.

Additionally, attendance in every class session, within every lesson and assignment is a must and easily tracked because logging in and participating is required.

Furthermore , experiential learning is of utmost importance and required because completion of learning objectives in the format requires and demands empirical knowledge, which is a necessity to further educational endeavors and career aspirations - continual contribution to the academic field of your career.

This extensive knowledge and breadth of learning within online formats guides and enhances learning, provides for extensive experiences, and increases collegial camaraderie, which is advantageous to your career demands and goals.

My firm belief is true learning occurs within online university systems which will prove to be of utmost benefit to your career.
