Of course a woman should have a right to choose abortion. Now, I don't support it, but there are a few cases where it is imperative to have an abortion. As bad as it sounds, this is completely true. Something like this happened to one of my friends.

A very special female friend of mine has been with this guy for about two years and they were meant for each other. She has Type 1 Diabetes and was slowly getting herself back together after she stopped caring about herself years ago. The man she is with today has changed her life and she wanted a reason to live her life. She went to the emergency room because she was experiencing severe pains in her stomach, followed with non-stop diarrhea.

The Doctor came back after doing some tests on her and he told her that she tested positive for pregnancy. She and her boyfriend were shocked, but so very excited at they same time. They immediately started planning on getting things ready for their new child.

My friend got a call from the same doctor a few days later. She was told she needed to report to his office as soon as possible. So she and her boyfriend go to the doctor's office to find out that her kidneys were very weak and would be too risky to have the baby. She was told if she were to go through with having the baby, she would most likely be either put on dialysis or die. This made them both very sad and they had no clue what to do. This doctor said the only option would be abortion.

This shocked my friend and her boyfriend, especially hearing this coming from a doctor. They realized it was either risking losing both her and the baby, so they felt they had no other option. She went to get the operation done and knew that if it wasn't done, she and her baby wouln't have survived.

To this day, they are still heartbroken and sad about the situation, but once again they realize it was for the best. Abortion is never a good option for anyone to undertake. I agree, it is considered murder in my book, but what other way was there for them? They made the choice and are still together to this day, healthy and happy.

Abortion causes physical and psychological damage to anyone involved and should never be told it's a choice. The choice should only be made by the people involved, so I do support that women have rights to choose abortion, but only if it is the absolute last option.

Though contraception is a favorable alternative to unwanted pregnancies, fetal abortion is taking the life of a child; a life that could have made an impact on this planet, had the mother opted to have the child. Abortion, especially late term procedures, and heinous acts of murder against an almost fully developed human being, and are against the laws of nature, not to mention a selfish act by a mother to rid herself of a potential "burden" to her present lifestyle.

Teenage pregnancies occur, and is basically an accepted fact of society. In my opinion, contraceptive attainability by teenage girls is a humane form of population control. A teenage mother is more likely to drop out of high school, divorce early if married, and work minimum wage jobs. Unless the girl has support from the father, which seems to be the exception more than the rule, she would have to rely on the support of her parents, or other family members.

Another alternative to abortion is adoption. A safe, humane, and respectful option in the 21st century, adoption, is made all the more easier by the fact that there are literally thousands of couples unable to have a child on their own, looking to adopt a newborn.

The city of Chicago has the " no questions asked policy", which allows women to anonymously drop newborn babies off at a fire-station or church, without the threat of being charged with child abandonment.

Funny how the left is a strong supporter of a woman's right to abort, yet are adamantly against the death penalty.

Look at pictures of aborted babies in the second and early third trimester, and tell me they're not human. Count the tiny fingers and toes; look at the fully developed limbs and facial features. Then look at your own child, the one that you lovingly brought into the world. You made that choice, and you knew it would be hard at times, so much so that you sometimes wished that it would just go away. But you stuck it out, looking at the blue or green or hazel eyes of your baby, as their fragile fingers tightly grip your index finger as you nurse them. There is no better feeling in the world.

Now, get into the mind of the woman who recently had an abortion. Try to sift through the emotions of guilt, pain and remorse that are as thick as haze in their head. They may tell you it was for the best; that it was their right, that they had no other choice, or that the fetus is not fully human, so it was ok. But inside, they are torn up from a procedure that scarred them both mentally and physically, and that will never go away.
