There is life after death, you can hear it in a whisper. Your mind and body are separate from your soul. The real you sometimes screams out for recognition, and maybe once, or perhaps twice in a lifetime you get to experience something above flesh and blood. It could be a near-death experience, or perhaps a long lost loved one walking by.

You can argue science with me, that the body is merely an organism with nothing lighting the eyes but the endless capillaries and mucus that sticks it together. I could argue science with you about the weight of the soul, and the various scientific methods used to photograph and record spirits. We could debate philosophy, chemistry, Scientology, biology, physiology, physics, religion and almost any other school of thought until the night was gone and the sun broke the day.

You could expound on the great scientific minds that have embraced the clear fact that there is no such thing as life after death and I would retort with the last words of similar skeptics, who wide-eyed and amazed greeted their dead mothers a moment before passing. We could argue until we did in fact expire. Until our last breath proved the yay or nay of the argument, but I think that I am right in my belief of life after death, because I have been there before and I came back to tell you that there's someone there. There's a light and a brightness, a whisper, a being, a friend, and sometimes there is a choice to be made. I made mine, I came back and I'm here to tell you there's more.

Perhaps you don't believe me. That's okay too. A whisper in the dark someday may be enough to convince you. I am not here to argue God, that is another debate. I believe in an afterlife, I have that faith. Yet even if I'm wrong, if when we're gone we just rot away, I would never know it, so I would rather live my way.

Life after death' it's there, but I didn't walk far enough down the path to tell you what it looked like. Perhaps it's just a shadow of here, perhaps it's something more. I guess we'll know when we get there. See you on the other side.
