If you are suffering from slow growing and thinning hair, you can improve the quality, thickness, and rate at which your hair grows. There are many factors which can effect the growth of a healthy head of hair, and some diseases and allergies can cause the hair to thin and grow slowly, so it is best to be seen by your physician to rule out these possibilities. Ask your doctor for a complete physical, and be honest as to what your health concerns are, including slow growing or thinning hair. You shouldn't feel ridiculous or vain, but if you're uncomfortable speaking to your doctor about your hair, then maybe you can have someone accompany you who can act as an advocate and help you to better communicate your concerns. There's nothing wrong with a little moral support.
Your diet can have a huge impact upon your hair, and you may want to consult with a nutritionist who can help you to design a healthful diet which will promote hair growth. You should try to avoid fried, sugar laden, and fatty foods. You'll want to be sure to include plenty of vegetables and fruits of various colors to ensure proper nutritional support. Protein is necessary for a thick healthy head of hair, so be sure to eat healthy lean proteins such as chicken, fish, and turkey. You can also talk to your doctor about vitamin and mineral supplementation, and most physicians will give the nod to taking a daily multivitamin. Avoid the over-consumption of alcohol.
You should try to eat geen salads, and if you're suffering from dry skin, add a little olive oil. If you are suffering from psoriasis or a skin condition which can effect the scalp, you should be seen by a dermatologist. There are shampoos and medications which can help to keep your scalp clean and your hair follicles healthy.
Another part of the equation to growing your hair is to include some type of exercise to your day. It's a good idea to try to workout with at least a daily walk of twenty to thirty minutes, and this will also help you to feel and look healthier. If you get yourself moving on a regular basis, the health benefits will amaze you. It's very easy to fall into bad habits, and making a few lifestyle changes can have a huge impact upon your health and your hair.
