I am glad the NFL decided to pass on rushing to accept Rush Limbaugh's attempt to become an owner of an NFL team, because of what I consider his unsportsmanlike conduct. In his decades of polemical diatribes against real, imagined, or manufactured issues, positions and people, while he was propagating galvanizing exaltations for his benefactors and sponsors positions, or for his own beliefs.

The NFL is a respected and admired organization of 32 independent and interdependent franchises. Like it or not, there is an obligation towards, and an affect on, society. Mr. Limbaugh's most ardent admirers would likely concede, Mr. Limbaugh takes positions that attract some and repel others. That is a situation which has an affect on an international businesses organization's (real or perceived) profitability.

On a weekly basis we see flags thrown on ego centric celebrations for touchdowns, sacks, tackles, and various acts by men with super: size, speed, strength, agility, and other skills or talents. Flags are thrown for late hits and various infractions of rules of the game. The NFL is a business and a game.

Sportsmanship is a valued quality from sandlot and Pop Warner, through High School and College to the Pros, for a very unique and special set of reasons:

From Wikipedia: Sportsmanship is conformance to the rules, spirit, and etiquette of sport. More grandly, it may be considered the ethos of sport. It is interesting that the motivation for sport is often an elusive element. Sportsmanship expresses an aspiration or ethos that the activity will be enjoyed for its own sake, with proper consideration for fairness, ethics, respect, and a sense of fellowship with one's competitors. Being a "good sport" involves being a "good winner" as well as being a "good loser".[1]

Often pressures of competition, individual achievement, or introduction of technology can seem to work against enjoyment by participants. As a result, sportsmanship may be contrasted with gamesmanship. Examples of poor sportsmanship are winners "rubbing salt in the wounds" of the losers, or the losers expressing frustration at not winning. < end wikipedia >

We have freedom to own a business or to work for whom or where we choose. However the NFL is a syndicate with only 32 member and anti-trust exemptions, beyond Constitutional, Statutory, Regulatory, and League Business and Labor rights and obligations.

In no way would I want to abridge Mr. Limbaugh rights to Freedom of Speech or means to make a very good living using his mind and his words. I have friends and family who swear BY the positions of Mr. Limbaugh. Conversely, I have friends and family who swear AT the positions of Mr. Limbaugh. For this reason, I oppose Mr. Limbaugh as an NFL owner.

Dollar demagoguery and demonizing by Radio, TV, Cable, Print, or/and Touring lecturers is highly profitable by the lawyer like courtesan advocates and propagandist and their networks. As Will Rodgers said: No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people.

To be fair to Mr. Limbaugh, the NFL and other businesses likely have accepted worse candidates. I find there is rampant hypocrisy about sports: where NFL gambling is illegal, yet betting lines & odds are in every paper; where steroids and drug abuse are made an issue by leagues and government which allowed them to propagate; and where excessive violence is decried, yet violence is used to boost profits.

Yet, I enjoy the NFL draft and games. We all know the machines-industries which we all participated in and benefited from, yet we are indoctrinated, inculcated, and insulated from the systemic adverse realities.

If only, Federal, State, and Local governments had sportsmanlike conduct in their political ethos? Wouldn't it be nice if the deeds actually mached the words? Sigh!?

In some cases, like from many Mr. Limbaugh's positions, it might not be so good?

We could have "neutron jack employment," "loan shark usuary credit card rates," "Standard Oil monopoly oil pricing, while capping Iraq exports," "world leadership in weapons and muninitions traffic," "undeclared wars, stretched for political and financial reasons." and a "Cocaine Republic," with "rigged Gambling Casino Financial Markets, where bankrupt industries become short sellers pirate booty, causing foreclosures and loss of life savings." Sigh!? (I could not resist).

The opposition to Mr. Rush Limbaugh participating in the bidding for the Rams NFL football team only managed to magnify the reasoning behind the bid opportunity and the tainted fair business practices. Fortunately this action has worked to Mr. Limbaugh's advantage as he will not be tied to the participants in his bid and he will not be subjected to the political whims of the socialist liberals. The result is that Mr. Limbaugh is spared suffering the detrimental association among a narrow minded group of business and political nerds.

Further consideration reveals that the public may be spared this useless expenditure of time listening to the liberal media and their use of the incident to distract the citizens of the US from the socialist liberal rape of the US economic system. In fact, one consideration should be the motive of involving Mr. Limbaugh in the bidding in the first place. Was it to provide an opportunity to control Mr. Limbaugh's attention from revealing further truths about the Obama goals by dangling the apple before his eyes that enticed him to participate? It smacks of the kidnapping of ones child for ransom and may have in reality been the prime mover to proceed to this point.

Should this be true the creators of this situation are in for a rough ride as they will find that Mr. Limbaugh does not need the protection of his followers as he is a self made man with more capability than their whole group? Mr. Limbaugh will kick socialist liberal asses and scan the horizon for the next futile attempt should it come.

It is not surprising that this type of disdain for human dignity and total lack of sportsmanship emanates from the perch of Barrack Obama and his Congressional lackeys. Their composition has resulted in the inept grouping of a band of nematodes with no class and little true intelligence. They are the scourge of mankind and devoid of human dignity.

It is also true that the current controlled programs of the socialist liberals have managed to discredit the beloved NFL, an American icon, for the sake of gossip mongering and a few crumbs left after the liberal media is finished distracting the citizens of the US. This only magnifies the permeation of the socialist liberal agenda into all God given freedoms of human beings for their singular purpose. Power, money and complete control over all people in the US are the purpose of taking away the public enjoyment of the NFL.

As often happens the NFL, itself, falls prey to conduct unbecoming for a truthful business which had a history of being for the benefit and entertainment of others. But, with the union infringement into the players they manage to adhere to the lesser battles and enter the battlefield between black and white. Racial division is the result, and why not, it is a very effective tool for the liberal socialists. It costs them nothing and only makes the life of the Caucasian and Black people less enjoyable.

Rooting around and writing about this question leaves a bad taste in the mouth however, the question looms in print and begs to be discussed. Brevity is a blessing when dealing with the entanglements of the socialist liberals and further speculation will be circumnavigated with the conclusion of the consideration if it was right to curtail Mr. Limbaugh's bid effort.

The loss is that of the Rush-less NFL as Mr. Limbaugh loves football and the NFL. Further even though the intended distraction of Mr. Limbaugh may have been the desired result of the incident, Mr. Limbaugh has been underestimated and his truthfulness and precision will expose the puss of the liberal socialists. The NFL further involves itself with the lady of the night, money and power for the socialist liberals and union control of the racial question thus generated among previously happily integrated player personnel. In doing so, its reputation is damaged and in danger of becoming addicted to repetition for the sake of the undeserving.
