Add to FavoritesAmericans are losing their moral values. Every day you can see more and more of it on the news, hear it on the radio and just watch it when you walk down the street.
I am tired of seeing teenage girls wearing thongs, well it's not so much the thong as it is the thong sticking out of their pants four inches. It's like they are advertising, hey look at me I'm dumb and easy, and I also follow the crowd. Where are their parents? Why are these teens parading themselves around for every sexual deviant to see?
When did it become popular to disrespect your parents? I see so many parents that don't discipline their children and when they act out they try to buy their love. You may as well put yourself in the old folks home now, because that's where your heading unless you teach them to respect you now. Are you even worthy of their respect? Do you act like a parent or are you afraid that would make you uncool.
I sometimes wonder if you stopped people on the street, how many of them could accurately describe to you what morals are. Maybe fifty percent, maybe only thirty. We live in a society that thrives on instant gratification. They get what they want now and don't care who they have to hurt to get it. Sure we can grow a corporation into a super giant over night, but at the expense of how many families? When did the amount of money you net every year become more important than helping others?
How many of you have ever helped out at a homeless shelter? How many know someone that has helped out at a homeless shelter? I seriously doubt many of you. This is a problem that has plagued all societies from the beginning of time. Crowley the devils sidekick described it best,"do what thow whilt". Crowley was a sick man that predicted the free love movement of the sixties. He died alone and addicted to heroin. Some of you may not be lacking that much in morals but there is always room for improvement. Help each other in love to get back into the things that are right in the eyes of the lord. Read the ten commandments and apply them in your life. That would be a great start. God will notice your effort.

America is not losing it's moral values. In fact, America is serious about taking the moral values that were put into deep storage for eight years, and bringing them back out into the light. America is a vast land which is home to over 300 million people, with more arriving every day. There is every kind of natural environment and every kind of lifestyle that people want to have for themselves and their families. There is tolerance for every religion, political belief that does not advocate the overthrow of our government, and personal life that is not a harm or disturbance to others.
But to talk about America in terms of moral values is to talk with an understanding that moral values that appeal to some are repugnant to others. "America's Heartland" does not exist in the form of rural, isolated areas. America's heartland extends past the borders of sea to shining sea. America's heartland is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and on the West Coast. America's heartland is in the hearts and minds of everyone who calls this place home, whether they are living here or not.
And America's moral values are fine. The vast majority of Americans have had a perfectly good moral education, and are passing sound moral educations on to their children each and every day. American moral education is generally the most egalitarian, tolerant and service oriented moral education in the world.
When any disaster happens, anywhere in the world, Americans are among the first to offer help, even for countries that have disrespected us, threatened to destroy us, and declared themselves to be our enemies.
The latest test of American moral values was passed when President Obama was elected. a message was sent that those who commit crimes in our name will be dealt with and not allowed to continue. When immorality had become so incorporated into our government that America was ashamed of itself, it was only a matter of time before true American morality would stand out, and the immoral would be run out of office.
But American moral values are still being tested. Those who would lie, kill, and cheat in order to continue to drive this country further down a deviant and perverted path to political, religious, and moral decline are being fought with more and more will by those who understand what morality truly is about.
American morals are quite fine, and the young men and women who go to work each day, raise their children, and fight our wars are proof of that.
