It's sad to see Americans so split and disillusioned with the health care issue. To be perfectly honest, it disgusts me. There are way too many fellow Americans living without health care and even more paying through their hearts for mediocre coverage. Perhaps those who are are making all the noise should live without the security of insurance for a few years and see how safe they feel. When did Americans become so selfish and hostile? Do they not see how they sound and look?
They cry to keep an unfair system while their neighbors die or struggle without proper care. The whole mess makes no sense. Some of the characters that can be seen on TV during Town Hall Meetings are absolutely as uneducated as I have ever seen. The health care issue is big because the system has fallen apart. I believe Insurance companies should be forced to answer for the horrible job they have done, while making billions of dollars.
An individual's Health Insurance coverage costs between 600- 1000 dollars per month, per person. That is crazy. For those lucky enough to have their employer pay half maybe you feel that is fine. Do you realize what you have given up keeping the system? The average employee pays about 5,000 dollars per year. Your employer may be picking up the other 5,000, or maybe even more. Ten thousand per year for health care per person? And we wonder why the average wage goes up so slowly?
Give your mouths a rest and allow your brains to research the issue. Maybe too many Americans just need an excuse to whine and Health Care issues draw attention. If people really knew what they were complaining about. The facts. The truth. Perhaps fewer people would be talking and more would be listening. Sometimes change is a good thing. Sometimes change is needed.
AARP and Senator Ted Kennedy have always fought for Health care issues for the elderly. They approve the plan. The Republicans and Insurance companies are the people getting everyone in an uproar. We suffered 12 long years under Republican rule and what a mess they created. Sarah Palin as President would scare me more than having another Bush run for office.
If people are smart they will see where the lies and propaganda are coming from. One does not need to be a rocket scientist to see America is being duped by the lies and desperations of the Republican party trying to win back an office and their political reputations. Once again they are protecting an industry that earns huge monthly profits. Health Insurance companies earn billions a year. We all hate dealing with them and we hate the way they deal. Last time the Republicans snowed Americans, we ended up in a war and paying a mint for gas. Meanwhile Exxon Mobil earned billions. If they win again we will continue to pay outrageous cost and die anyway.

Reforms Being Considered in Congress Will Not Improve Health Care in the United States?
The health care bills being considered in Congress will not only not improve health care, but they will destroy our free choice! Under the Congressional bills, we can only keep our private insurance until we make any change. Change may be losing your job, or just getting a year older and renewing your own plan. At that time, you will be forced into the government plan where the bureaucrats will decide on the treatment you receive, and your doctor will have nothing to say. If you choose not to have insurance, you will be fined 2.1% extra on your income tax. People that choose not to have insurance, cannot be refused when they become sick and are in need of medical care. What do you think that this will do to expenses?
In England, they just removed the option of to use a drug which worked well on advanced breast cancer. The bureaucrats decided the treatment was too expensive, causing all the women with advanced breast cancer to face death. Is this what we want for the people of the United States? Look at our own President and the thanks that he gives our military. George W. Bush removed the book from the military Your Life, Your Choices, and it has now been re-implement by Barrack Obama as a guide for the Veteran Administration. This book sums up what is in store for all of us. It says to our brave men and women that serve our country if they are wounded and will not be coming home totally independent; they should consider how much easier it would be on their family if they would make the choice to die.! This is a total outrage along with Congresses medical plan. We will have rationed medical care under their plan, and if you are a senior citizen, or someone who is a heavy cost burden; you should die! This new system is not only Un-American: it is totally immoral! Do you want the decision if you or someone you love should die or be treated, based solely on a cost value?
The United States has the best health care system in the world. That does not mean that our system does not need reforming. We need to get rid of Medicare and Medicaid fraud. The money from the saving would provide the fifteen million people that are uninsured guaranteed medical care according to the Heritage Foundation. No person in this country is now denied emergency medical care. We need to stop the horrendous medical law suits and have clinics for those who cannot afford medical insurance. We need reform and a fix; we do not need to "Throw the baby out with the bath water".". Why would we want to re-write the best health care system in the world? We need to get rid of the fraud by fining those doctors, hospitals and people that abuse it. The doctors just get a fine now when they are caught and are allowed to go on their merry way. It is time to fine the people who try to cheat Medicare and Medicaid by making them pay a fine of triple the amount that they have embezzled. They should also have to do community service; working at a free clinic for the time they would have served in jail would be good.
Our health care is reformable, and we should take the time to fix the part that is broken. If we do not fix it, there will be no more physical therapy or special rehabilitation services for those over 50. "Take a pill"; the government really thinks we are useless and not worth putting money into. Senior citizens are one of our most valuable resources. If we are lucky and our care is not rationed; then we too will become senior citizens. We should hope that we are as valuable to society as the senior citizen that went before us! We still have a choice; our senators and congressmen are supposed to be voting in our best interest. It is up to you to let them know how you feel! I know that eleven hundred page health bill is a lot to read; but it is a real eye opener. If this plan is so great why is it that our Senator and Congressmen will be keeping the plan that they have? The plan they have outlined for us is not good enough for them!
