Do egg white face masks really work?

*My opinion counts too:

When you give yourself an egg white facial mask, it leaves a thin film of the egg whites on your skin, and as you leave it on until it dries out, it'll leave your face feeling tight and drawn, this is caused only because the film is dry and your skin feels much tighter than before. Don't allow this to fool you because any film that dries on the face will tighten to give you the same type effect. Egg white consists of a clear liquidy white of the egg which is called "albumen," and yes, it does contain protein.

*Do you think this type facial mask is helpful?:

You might ask, does this egg white facial mask cause the skin to become smoother? No, it does not because as soon as you wash off the egg white facial, the film is gone and the tightness fades. Your skin may feel softer but it does after any facial mask. You believe you've helped your skin to tighten because it felt tight but, I'm sorry to tell you, it had "no" benefit to your skin at all. Our minds can play tricks on us and cause us to believe we benefited from the egg white facial mask, but actually, all we got was a egg white facial. Other types of homemade protein or commercial proteins does not do a thing for your skin either, and it's my belief, you're only wasting your money on commercial proteins that are suppose to benefit the skin and the cost of one egg.

*Some women swear by egg white facials for pimples and blackheads:

Many women who have used egg white facials feel they are great for removing blackheads and pimples. It's simple to make an egg white facial, it's only the white of one egg whisked in a bowl and then you dip it out with your hands and rub it on your face and allow it to dry, and then, wash it off with warm water dabbing the water off with a towel, followed by a good moisturizer. Now, I cannot attest to this egg white facial mask since I have never used it but some women swear by it.

*Summation:

In my opinion, if you're allergic to eggs, you should check with your dermatologist since you're rubbing this mixture into your skin or you may get a severe allergic reaction.
