I did not know that Michael Jackson was ill. I was surprised to hear about his death. I think Michael Jackson was a pop icon because his career expanded over forty years.

Most musicians would have a few hits and that is the end of the line for them. But Michael Jackson was a surprising entertainer. He kept coming back with new songs and movements.

He was not only a singer but a good dancer as well. Michael Jackson controlled the stage and set the pace for the kind of entertainment he wanted.

Michael Jackson was a true artist with the love for music and dance. He was a pop icon. He was an expert in being a pop icon. He gave the people what they wanted.

As times changed, so did he. In his younger years he made the majority of his money in this country. But as he was getting older, the majority of his fan base was overseas.

He played both sides of his fan base and still came out on top. I don't think his fans could see him aging. People only could see Michael Jackson's love for music and his love for the audience.

His death made him a pop icon too because death seemed to only happen in never never land. It is still unbelievable to imagine Michael Jackson dead.

He kept us surprised for years. He was planning a comeback which will never happen now. The pop icon could not have planned this for his fans because it is unlike Michael Jackson to leave us unfulfilled.

There have been plenty of imitators. The imitators soon realized that they couldn't look themselves in the mirror. The old school fans just laughed. They know better than to mess with the pop icon.

The best thing to do is to leave it as it is. Each entertainer should have their own way of doing things. Leave the pop icons alone.

I think the world is in shock. There will be plenty of tears. There will be plenty of questions. There will be plenty of money to be made off the pop icon.

Even though he is rested, others will not have the privilege. They will find some way to move the pop icon over so the rewards will trickle down like the tears.

The pop icon will not be forgotten so soon. We will have to go back to remember him when he was small. We will have to remember him when he stood tall.

We will remember him for his love to his audience. We will remember him for his questionable ways. We will remember him for all that he said.

But most of all, we will remember this sad day when the pop icon went his way. Good night pop icon and don't forget to sing and dance in my dreams
