As more and more people are diagnosed with asthma, more and more people are frantically seeking out help through alternative ways besides taking a shot everyday or something else undesirable such as this. One popular treatment includes acupuncture. Your best bet in treating your asthma even more is having a little chat with your doctor before abandoning all of your prescribed medicine for alternatives because this could cause serious complications in which you do not want to deal with. Combining acupuncture sessions and a tad-bit of medicine given to you by your doctor should help you out a bunch.

Truth be told- acupuncture increases healthy lung function and with asthma, this is a must. The obnoxious coughing and wheezing caused by asthma is based right from the lungs. Having the ability of flowing oxygen properly throughout your lungs will help with asthma tenfold. I would like to question you this, if you are still skeptical on the topic of acupuncture's healing powers; would you rather have your insides damaged horribly and a countless amount of side-effects to follow, or a slightly pain-less and practically side-effect free alternative that will do just as a good of a job as over-the-counter drugs? You decide.

Another plus to this "ancient Chinese secret " is that it reduces stress, which can also sometimes cause asthma. If this is not your case, it is still a nice and relaxing ritual to be put through. This treatment will also clear your bronchial airways right up, and chase phlegm right out of your system and help keep it out for years to come!

Acupuncturists not only insert (painless) hair-thin needles in target areas to help you out, but many if not all offer Chinese herbs during a session as a natural cure. Acupuncture and Chinese medical herbs are a good ol' fashion way to bring yourself back to health without putting harmful chemicals which half of them you are not even familiar with! I don't know about you, but I like knowing what is floatin' around in my body and through my veins.

The only downside to this treatment is that it takes many sessions to finally see results. I have heard from many people that it takes a few days, sometimes even up to seven sessions to notice anything, but once you do the repayment is great! You won't have to bother with inhalers, shots, and damaging medicine anymore.

In conclusion, in the aspect of acupuncture as a treatment for asthma, the pros by far, out-way the cons. If you are suffering asthma, which I know can be horrible I would strongly recommend you call an acupuncturist and see if you can get anything set up, it will be a big help. I promise you.
