Nancy Pelosi vs the CIA: Who is telling the truth?

Who knows the truth, in US politic's?

Once again our esteemed Speaker of The House Nancy Pelosi, has made a huge mistake in judgement. In case anyone didn't notice. Immediately after Pelosi made her totally irresponsible and possibly damaging statement on the International Media stage. The head of the CIA , Mr. Leon Panetta, offered transcripts of any and all CIA briefings made to the honored Speaker, and every other member of Congress as well. What exactly is the good Speaker thinking? Even if you had a legitimate gripe about the CIA or it's policies. As Speaker of The House, you certainly don't voice those concerns on International television!

Not only is the CIA one of the very best Intelligence agencies in the world. According to our own Constitution, it has to have Congressional approval for it's action's, as a whole. Not to mention the fact, that it's a criminal offense to lie to any member of Congress. Including the Speaker of The House. I for one, as well as most citizen's of our nation, have all ready grown gun-shy of the mistakes made by our esteemed Speaker! What made this situation even worse was the following weekly Press Briefing. Supposedly to be given by the Speaker. Instead she paraded practically every other member of Congress, and addressed every possible issue other than her statement about the CIA, lying to Congress. As the session was coming to it's end. One very intrepid reporter had the audacity to ask about Pelosi's CIA statement. To which her reply was,"she had all ready made her statement on this issue, and no further questions would be taken on this matter". Unbelievable!

I personally was astounded, as was the rest of America. Every single News Anchor that were covering the story on that day, were totally taken aback as well! If an average American had made such a statement about the most powerful Intelligence agency in the world. I can assure you that you would have been forced to give a very public apology, at the very least! Either that ,or you would have wound up doing a little time in the closest Incarceration Center. The simple fact that she didn't address this issue in any form, and it was obvious that she had pre-planned her responses, or lack there-of. Told every registered voter in this country, exactly what they needed to know about the character of Nancy Pelosi. Our new Speaker of The House!

I for one, was totally dismayed, frustrated, and disappointed, to say the least. Being the first ever, female Speaker of The House. We as citizens of this country. Have the right to expect a great deal more from a person who sits in such a position of power, in the Congress of the United States of America! Lest we forget America. The Speaker of the House is third in the line of power, to the office of the president! With that fact firmly in mind, Speaker Pelosi has shown the American public nothing but partisan politics. A total lack of leadership skills, and in the face of adversity, a weakness never before seen, in the most powerful position in Congress!

In conclusion of this article, let me state, unequivocally, not only has the Democratic controlled Congress lost my confidence in their capabilities. More importantly they have lost my support , and my vote, in the upcoming elections of 2010!
