Add to FavoritesIs abortion really that wrong? Think about the idea of giving the child the life it doesn't deserve. Think about the life the child could be saved from through abortion.
Not every woman has a choice to keep her baby.
The obvious and more humane option for some people is adoption. Though adoption may seem like a better alternative to abortion, a mother usually wonders about the child she gave away. Unless that certain individual is truly emotionally ready to make that kind of choice, do not go for adoption.
Certain religions insist that abortion is a sin and that includes Islam. However, when the mother-to-be is not financially or psychologically prepared to care for a child, abortion is the final choice. Adoption cannot be considered because as stated above, there's always that lingering thought about the baby she gave away.
It's difficult enough having to abort the baby.
The preconceived notion is that the fetus is alive and it's being killed. Therefore, as the mother, her choice to have an abortion means she's accused of murder. The meaning of that procedure is not the case at all. The fetus isn't even fully formed, so it's not so much being killed as stopping it's development into a full-grown baby.
Again, try to really think about it. Would it be better for a child to be born into a world of pain or not be born at all?
Honestly, regardless of the dozens of forms of birth control one of those little guys just gets through. How? Maybe sperms have tools, no one really knows. When they do get through, sometimes it's a nice surprise and sometimes it's the last thing you're ready for. When the time comes, an unwanted pregnancy should not look at abortion as the fatal solution. An abortion can most likely save that baby's life. If the mother is sixteen and living in an unstable household with abusive parents, such harsh conditions could just as easily negatively affect her child even more. Save your baby the pain and unhappiness and abort it while its still sort of an embryo.
Then again, maybe adoption is another choice. Although it just seems better to not wonder how old your kid is now or what the foster family is like. Another dilemma is that the biological mother could wonder whether or not she should find her child or if he/she would want to find her. An abortion leaves you with a million thoughts as well but it seems like the better choice. That's just one opinion.

As you leave the house, you know you really shouldn't be driving but you do it anyway. As you approach the speed limit, you drift slowly into the oncoming lane and then quickly correct the vehicle back into your lane. This happens again, but this time you don't have time to fix the problem before your truck slams into the approaching car. The force of your larger vehicle crushes the car around its driver.
A woman can take the same roll in life as that of an impaired driver. In the act of abortion, she destroys an innocent life. The difference between drunk drivers and women is the consequences after their actions. When a driver destroys another life in a traffic accident, there are laws and courts that provide jail time and other forms of punishment. When a woman chooses to abort an unborn baby, the baby dies but she then just moves on with her life. If people don't approve of what she has done, no one needs to know about it. She has an excuse of killing the innocent. Drunken driving accidents appear on your record for the rest of your life.
A baby has all of the cells it needs to become a person within the first month of pregnancy, even before its heart starts beating at three weeks. It truly is a life that is just beginning. Each woman who considers abortion should remember that they were at that same critical stage and another woman, their mother, let them live.
One of the factors that is pushing abortion laws is resources for single, pregnant women. The cost of pregnancy and raising a baby are high but there are resources available to help with this. State and local governments have resources as do private and volunteer organizations. These can make the trials of financing and supporting a child more bearable. Pregnancy is a life changing event, but you can find ways other than abortion to move forward. Children can be a blessing in a home, more than some people realize. Even if you can't support or handle a child, there are so many people out there who want children but cannot conceive or carry. This allows adoption to bless many lives. Children can be effectively raised and given love in homes that choose to adopt.
There are resources available to help pregnant women but there are not punishments to stop them killing an unborn child. We need to educate not only the pros and cons of abortion, but the alternatives and resources available to women who make the better choice
