Obama's stimulus plan was written too fast and it was passed to fast in the House and the Senate before anyone had a chance to read and fully understand the full price that comes with the plan. We the American people should be concerned since the thing is 1,071 pages long and those who were voting on it were only given a matter of hours not 2 days to read the whole thing before having to make a choice of supporting or opposing the thing. Of course we are told that it had to be passed right away to help the economy especially when the last one worked so well. We have to ask what is written in the thing to make it over a thousand pages long? We have to ask not only for our sake but for the sake of all future generations who will be affected by this.

Sadly, we the American citizens allowed this to happen because of the use of fear. We accused Bush of fear mongering with the use of 9/11 and again we have been played like a violin with Obama administration using the fear of imminent economic collapse to allow a travesty to be committed. The housing bubble has popped, the stock market is tanking, high unemployment and everything else that was bombarded at us until we finally gave in. Now we are learning that fear comes with a high price. For this stimulus plan it's 787 billion of taxpayer's money, not the politician's or somebody else's money but taxpayer's money that will fund the plan. Yet again we the American people can sleep well at night knowing that Obama, his administration and Democratic along with some Republicans have made the big bad boogey man go away and all they had to do was throw more taxpayer money at it since the only place that the government gets its money is from the taxpayer. We the people need to stop allowing our elected officials to use fear to overrule common sense and the wisdom to step back and figure out how we got in this dire situation in the first place.

Some of course would argue that no one has the time to sit down and read the whole stimulus plan let alone understand it so we'll just have trust that Obama knows what he is doing. My answer to that is it's a sad day in America when you might be willing to sign away or have somebody else sign away all your freedoms because of a challenge. For all we know in the plan could have been provisions that said the best way to stimulate our economy would be to create a slave population made up of a everyone 25 and under who give all their money to the government. There could have been provisions that the best way to stimulate the economy is to get rid of everybody over the age of 60, physically disabled, mentally challenged and all others who are deemed a burden and cause of our economic crisis. Obviously we haven't seen that happen but we the American people could have let it happen because we believed that Obama needed to pass a stimulus plan NOW instead of taking the time to weigh, discuss and debate before coming to a final conclusion on what needs to be done. Too often in history when a crisis comes along and the people are in a panic that opens the door for opportunistic people with their snake oils that only makes things worse and the people don't realize it until it is too late.
