Words are just words. Without action, do they hold any meaning?

In our day and age it is easy to be cynical, to be doubtful. We hear the words, and while inspiring, that hope can be gone in one fleeting moment as we remember all the instances where words were just words, and action did not follow.

So, as we stand here as a country on this momentous day, moved to tears and to chills making our hair stand on end at the significance, can it all be valued at nave? Tomorrow morning, will theses feelings be leveled to nothing but a faint memory of dreams we had the night before? Will the dawn bring the "reality" that what is promised to us, as seen many times in the past, will remain stagnant as only that, a promise?

Ironically, we perceive hope as the light at the end of the tunnel, not the torch that will lead us to it. Yet it is the words of today that ignite a flame in our hearts. A flame so bright and brilliant that perhaps it may be great enough to melt away the cynicism and the doubt. And maybe, just maybe, it will bring about the power to make us believe that the fears we harbor deep in our hearts can be silenced for good.

The words that carried the hope of today were of remarkable simplicity but the reflection of which, evident in the sea of faces present to bare witness to such a historical event, was simply remarkable. One couldn't help but acknowledge the potential that they may just the right ones.

If words are just words, I implore you to challenge the meaning of these words to the millions of people present, and the billions more that watched.

Words that are delivered do not ultimately render action finding the same fate. But it is comforting to know that the man that now stands to lead us is someone who not only understands the weight of his words, but the momentum that must be sustained from them. His words of today are forever transcribed in the history books, along with the proceeding stack of blank pages on which he will commit tomorrow's realization of our hopes.

Indeed, we can proclaim all we want. The reality is at the end of the day is words are just that: words. But whether we live up to what we say or we fail to, it is our words that ultimately define who we are.

President Barack Obama FREEZES $100,000.00 salaries for White House Staff! 01/21/2009.... GREAT! For the first time in the history of the U.S.A.. an elected president has the courage to stand up against these over paid staff members in the White House and make a needed "change" in the American government regarding over 100 staff members in the oval office. Obama states in his speech the day after his inauguration in a round about way that "if you don't like it, just get out!"

These over paid lazy U.S. officials most likely need to "hit the road" anyway and find employment elsewhere! The majority of these people have worked in the White House and become accustomed to their financial environment with which they have lived in for years. Fancy homes, and parties as tho they are big celebrities in Hollywood using taxpayers money for these unnecessary White House events. This is Obama's first step as president in 2009 for elimination problems.

Unfortunate ly, "Obama's sudden change in the American government" will most likely make White republicans and even certain Democrats mad in congress and the house of Representatives because of monetarily reasons? Thus, leading into more confusion within the American government and creating even more chaos between politicians who voted for Obama to begin with because of his sudden "changes" as our NEW 2009 American president.

President Obama also intends to do away with any "secrecy" within the American government because of the freedom of information act, "which I think is great!" Any voting American should have the right to know exactly what is going on in the White House at anytime via internet, by phone, mail or any means available at the time for him or her.

One of the most important things I admire Barack Obama is the fact that he is a licensed attorney and understands the U.S. constitution and how it simply works in a court of law. He knows how to stand up to these stubborn White house officials and "fight against what he thinks is right!" using his law degree, even if takes disruption amongst U.S. paid politicians and the American voters in the years to come.

Rich white rednecks all across America will simply disagree because he is the first American Black president in history and cause even more chaos across the country causing even more rebellion against our new president especially here in the south which I personally think is wrong since the days of "Old Lincoln", whom truly cared about Black peoples rights as human beings and NOT as slaves.

If I know these southern "Rednecks" they are probably trying to figure a way to assassinate our new president simply because of their ignorance, the way they assassinated Martin Luther King Jr. whom I always loved and respected as an Atlanta born resident. Martin Luther King Jr. was probably the most peaceful and religious leaders in history who preached continuously for Black peoples rights.

Barack Obama faces a NEW challenge in the American government. Hopefully, he can make this NEW change in the U.S. government without any radical problems regarding it's people with a "slow change" in our American society, that all Americans will accept as human beings regarding our color or race, or even our established wealth here in America.
