I would definitely say Google is the best search engine, Google has brought to the world a new lifestyle to millions of people around the globe and is continuing to grow everyday

Google was originally only a search engine but over the years it has grown and Google has been able to bring us amazing technologies like Google Earth And Gmail. Google has a lot more to offer than just a search engine, however they do have the most comprehensive amazing search engine I have seen. I have used many many of the different search engines available but non ever compare to the speed and ease of Google.

Google was the first search I ever used when I first got a connection to the Internet, and i remember my amazement being able to find whatever I was thinking of in less than seconds. I have many great memories thanks to Google.

Now I know that some reading this article may not be as used to a computer as i am, but if you want information fast what do you use? I am sure most people would answer Google as indeed I would

Googles Search Engine is revolutionary and is able to beat its opponents in pure speed every time, and yet they still offer you more than you would hope for. Google's Email service gmail should also be noted as it uses both the power of email and Google together to make an amazing email service that everybody i know uses. Google provides us with so much they will even help you earn money with Google Ads

It's amazing how Google has so much power and yet still cares for its users and still provides useful applications for free.

Google is no longer a search engine in my eyes, but an entire Internet culture. I hope a day comes soon when I have kids that I am able to teach them how to use Google and see again how i felt when I first found Google.

Google truly is the ultimate search engine and I would strongly disagree with anybody who would say different, I believe Google will continue to grow bringing us even more to our fingertips and I'm glad that they will always still take care of their users unlike some of the other search engines

I would encourage anyone who uses another kind of search engine to switch to Google and see for themselves this amazing technology

There was a time when Google was untouchable. For many years after everybody forgot all about AltaVista.com, Google reigned the search engine domain. It returned results that were mostly good and with the years kept getting better and better. These days, it seems to have become a victim of its own success.

Being a simple lay person and not able to get too far into the nitty gritty of it all, I can only relay my opinion from a user point of view. Having been burned more than once by attempting to type the address directly into the address bar, I rely on search engines to get me where I want to go, even if I go there all the time. They are so fast that sometimes it even makes sense to use them instead of bookmarks or favorites.

Being an online writer, it is also of some interest to me to see how I rank and where my intellectual property falls. So, every so often I look myself up, knowing exactly what I expect to find and how to get there directly. Imagine my surprise when I don't come up no matter how I search for it. That's not entirely true. Sometimes I come up and sometimes I don't. That's the point. Google has gotten flaky and unreliable.

Further, the filters have gotten so intricately refined that it is now next to impossible to find information that was once readily available. Just try to find a store in Woodbridge, Ontario that sells Italian DVDs. You'll get lots of links to Amazon.com but nothing for the heart of little Italy. You can spend hours and get nowhere. This didn't used to be the case.

On the other hand, I have recently discovered a neat little site called Kartoo.com. Imagine not only being able to get your search results in list format but also be able to display them as a map which shows how it relates to other web sites. Now that's an engine worth keeping an eye on.

Still, Google is no marketing slouch and they do have deep pockets. I wouldn't count them out just yet. Plus, old habits die hard and I still find myself using them... and Bing, and Yahoo. The bottom line is that even though Google is quickly becoming useless, there is really nothing much in the way of true competition. Not yet, that is.
