Let burn

To Burn Naturally makes sense to me, how about you?

Burning naturally is what has been done for many seasons of times past the burn in itself became a regular event, clearing the old for space for the new. The Native Americans looked forward to it each year as they knew the result of a natural burn benefited two fold, first old growth is removed and recycled. Second, that same old growth, becomes fertilizer adding to the richness of soil, making the next years harvest better, thicker. That is only exploring one aspect yet a very important part of it. The richness of the soil in California is a direct result of these natural burns. Another reason why California is an agricultural mecca and provides a large percentage of the world food supply.

Certainly I cannot deny that the houses on what was once open space, wilderness land was developed, they are at risk when you just let it burn naturally though it does make sense to try and save the houses. Really why were these homes initially allowed on what was previously wilderness area, national forests. Development being brought into what was once untouched wilderness. It seems likely that in letting them burn down at the very least will enable the National Forest to come back more then it once did. To return to it initial state long before the development came and modified it for placement of a home.

The point being, that in letting the fires burn out naturally, the opportunity is presented for a thicker new growth then was once there. Instead of considering the present situation, consider that after these fires there will be improvement on the surrounding area to the place that was your home. The point being is it is better to look forward as you deal with the present. Certainly there is a reason why you pay so much for home insurance right? The general idea is you pay that money out every month for some reason, so why not consider it a good thing that the forest burned naturally. Far as it goes, initially though difficult you can progress through this situation.

On the other point, if a fire burns naturally, far more acres would of been burned I do not deny that. It is in the short term a difficult loss, in the longer term though these forests that were once so beautiful will be even better as the fire using it's natural capacity enriches the soil thereby making the new forest even more beautiful. To be enjoyed for the generations to come and the ones who exist in the here and now. A house can be rebuilt and so far as it goes you cannot take the home with you to your grave. It is not so important, for through adversity people become stronger and often rebuilds result in a better home an opportunity to do some of the things you thought about after the fact. There is a reason why you pay that money for insurance, implement it and rebuild, taking the steps to make the house more environmentally friendly benefiting you and the areas surrounding.

Besides the fact that letting the fires burn naturally, would of saved many a fireman's health. To risk body for 12 hour or more days, dealing with excessive heat and unpredictable changes as the weather is never predictable. Risking life and limb, to save a home that may of been better rebuilt after the fact. Indeed there is additional points to view, saving animals and people are important yet the material goods, can be left to burn, as it is not as important as the life of a human or an animal. If cars burn, it is better that results in one less car on the road, and one less dent in your wallet for gas. True history will never be lost, in the human mind memories exist till the day we each die. Perhaps difficult to find sometimes, memory is not often truly lost just primarily archived available through a mental search.

In conclusion, a fire should burn naturally particularly in a forest, to bring about new growth so necessary to grow from here, this new growth after a natural burns is a long term solution to areas long experienced as the most beautiful areas of California. The constant cycle that is par for the course will never truly come to an end, so to try and stop what will occur time and again serves some purpose short term, though we each should look more to the long term, to the future as through each adversity strength is built and experiences had. Life in itself is a roller coaster ride with ups and downs you just got to stay on.In that ride you can expect many challenges and a fire is only one of many.

Extinguish

Our World's plant life gives life to all of us by creating oxygen and removing carbon dioxide from the air that we breathe. Then again, the more trees that are destroyed, the less oxygen is being created and the less carbon dioxide that is being removed from our atmosphere.

If all of that extra carbon dioxide is, in fact, the cause for global warming. We people of the World, together with every other living thing, is in big trouble. It does seem as if we have now entered the vicious circle of events which we might not be able to fix before even more natural disasters occur and millions of people become the victims of those events.

It is a fact that the average temperature of our Earth is getting warmer. As a result, droughts have caused untold deaths and millions of acres of forest land burned to cinders. The huge number of fires in California, Georgia and Florida within the past few years is no better example. So too, thousands of people within Africa have died from starvation. Climate change is blamed for that unfortunate event.

Those people in South America continue to burn down thousands of acres of rain forest each year in order to grow crops on that land. Well, that is a huge mistake and doing so is a major contributor to "Global Warming." So much so that steps must be taken by the "United Nations" World organization to put an end to that needless destruction of the rain forest.

Let us not forget about the fact that the ice-caps at the poles of our Earth are melting at an accelerated rate, together with many glaciers in Greenland and other places. It is also possible that more of the Sun's radiation is reaching the surface of our Earth.

It is also true that the ozone layer that protects us was once 5 miles thick and recently the thickness of that layer has been proved to be less than a mile thick or even less in some places.

It doesn't take a college graduate to realize that there is a pretty good chance that all of that extra carbon dioxide and the increase of UV radiation are somehow responsible for global warming.

True or not it is far better to be safe than sorry. With that in mind it would truly be wise to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels for our energy requirements. Solar power, wind power and water power are the best ways to reduce the amount of fossil fuels that we use in order to stay healthy and alive.

So too, we should make every effort to extinguish each and every forest fire as fast as we can, no matter where those trees might be located within our Country or the World. You see, every tree that burns to cinders also releases a whole lot of carbon dioxide into our atmosphere.

Like it or not, the burning of fossil fuels causes a whole lot of air pollution in the form of smog, acid rain and harmful ozone that does kill animal and plant life. As it happens, there are more than 350 pollution spewing factories in and around the Capital City of China. Thanks to the news media and the fact that the Summer Olympics within that place is about to start, the whole World is seeing what happens to a society that relies mainly on fossil fuels for energy. If you plan to go there, bring your own supply of oxygen or a gas mask. Who knows what kind of airborne poison is floating within the air in China.

From the supposed point of view of the owners and the controllers of those huge multinational corporations, it is far better to build a pollution spewing factory where the labor is cheap and pollution laws don't exist, than it is to continue to operate a pollution spewing factory within the United States of America. How clean is your air? More important, how many more people will die with each passing year, as our World continues to get hotter?
