Question: Someone suggested God loves those who worship Him more. Is this really true? Aren't we all equal in God's eyes?
Answer: There are only two types of people with God. The saved and the unsaved. God loves us all the same, yes. When we were yet sinners, He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for us (Romans 5:8). That's how much He loves everyone in the world.
On the cross, Jesus took our sins-past, present and future. He paid for them. God judged Jesus for our sins. However His death overpaid our debt, so He also took our sicknesses, our pain and every evidence of the curse in our lives.
There are people who hear this and accept Jesus right away, and there are others who don't.
The ones who do are now in right-standing with God. They have become God's sons and daughters and are able to partake in the inheritance of God. They have everything in Christ.
The others are still trying to survive this life. Some are trying to earn their way to Heaven through their good works, which isn't possible (Isaiah 64:6). Only through Jesus are we saved (John 14:6). When God sees them, He sees their muck, their mire, their potential and, of course, their sin.
When He looks at Christians, though, He doesn't see their sin. No, He sees Jesus' shed blood that cleanses them of their sins. Not once but always because I John 1:7 in the original Greek tells us that the blood of Jesus continually cleanse us. Without stopping. Isn't that wonderful? His blood continually cleanses us even if we sin.
Does God love sinners more than us Believers? No, but He is something to us that He is not to them. Father. They can't come boldly to His throne and cry, "Abba Father." They can't stand on the promises of God and inherit them as we can. They can't spend time with Father Daddy, just feeling Him love on us for no good reason. They can't experience the fullness of His grace and mercy. They must receive Christ, the One and Only Way to the Father. No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
If we try to earn our way to Heaven, we will wear ourselves out trying to accomplish a goal that is not possible. We will still end up in Hell, but if we accept what Christ did for us, not only will we go to Heaven when we die, but we will inherit all God has for us as His children.
What do we inherit as God's children? For one thing, we inherit His peace (John 14:27). Not our peace. His peace, which is the Hebrew word Shalom, which means nothing missing, nothing broken.
That is quite the opposite of the world, which would have us worry about everything from terrorism to the failing economy, from the bird flu to who the next President of the United States will be and whether celebrities are mentally ill.
No, God has forgiven all our sins. He has healed all our diseases. He has redeemed us from destruction. He has satisfied our mouths with good things so that our strength is renewed like the eagles (Psalm 103:1-5). Jesus was also made poor (anything outside of Heaven is poor) so that we can become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9).
Why does God want us healed, forgiven, delivered, renewed and rich? Easy, so that we might be a blessing to others because we cannot give what we don't have.
God loves the world so much that He wants us to help Him reach others for His Kingdom. We are God's hands down here on the earth. As such, He must bless us so that we will be a blessing to others just as He did Abraham.
Some believe that inheriting the promises of God is selfish. If we don't inherit them, though, we are discounting all of what Jesus died to give us.
My mother and I used to split the Early Bird special at a certain restaurant. It came with the meat, vegetable, roll, salad and pie. Even if we were full to the brim, we would still take the pie home because we paid for it
For most people, if a purchase came with something free and the person didn't receive it, he would drive back to the store and demand the free gift because he are entitled to it.
However most of us aren't willing to claim everything from God in which we are entitled. We feel we don't deserve it and didn't earn it. We feel like we are stealing from God.
God wants to give us these things free of charge. He knows we don't deserve healing, prosperity or a sound mind, but they are ours through Jesus' death, burial and resurrection. It has nothing to do with us. It has everything to do with Jesus, and what He has done for us.
If a billionaire, such as Bill Gates or Donald Trump, offered us a million dollars with no strings attached that we didn't have to repay, most of us would take it. However when our Heavenly Father offers us wealth, prosperity, healing, success and so much more with no strings attached, we hesitate to accept it.
Once we become Believers by accepting Jesus, we are His children. He is King of kings. That makes us princes and princesses. Princes and princesses don't earn all their riches. They are simply entitled to them because of their title. They are to enjoy the royal lifestyle because of who they are. It is their birthright just as it is ours.
We are God's children, and everything He has for us is our birthright.
Does God have favorites? No. Then why do some receive healing and others don't? Why do some receive prosperity and others don't? It is because some receive and others don't.
The people who receive know that it is God's will for them. He has some children who sit in the corner, crying, begging and pleading for what is already theirs. If they would open their hands and receive, they would see that.
God does not have favorites. Learn what you. According to Ephesians 1:3, you have everything that pertains to life and godliness. You already have it.
Remember you are not fighting to get the promises. You already have them. You must stand on that victory ground, knowing you have already possess everything you will every need. Receive those things today!

The Bible may state that God is no respecter of people in Acts 10:34 and that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son in John 3:16. But there are people who will always be loved by God more than others. Those who do what God wants them to do will be loved more by him and be blessed more.
I have a friend who claims to be a Christian. But he has a lot of problems. He also doesn't go to church and doubts many portions of the Bible are the inspired Word of God. God may love him. But God won't show his love toward him as he would someone who obeys his Word faithfully.
There are many people in the Bible that God has hated while he has shown his love more toward others. Jacob was loved by God while Esau his brother was hated, as stated in Romans 9:13. Esau may not have been hated like Satan is hated since he did well in material goods. But Jacob obeyed God more and was called Israel by God and became the father of the those that started the various tribes of Israel.
There were nations that God commanded his people to destroy when they entered the Promised Land. If God loved those people, he would have told the Jews to reach out to them to show God's love toward them and make sure they became believers.
God went so far as to harden the heart of Pharaoh so that it took ten plagues in Egypt with the culmination of the death of the first-born in the land to force the leader to release the Children of Israel from bondage. God allowed the man to think he could take back the Jews into bondage and was drowned when the waters of the Red Sea collapsed upon him and his army. And it wasn't the Reed Sea as so many people believe. I saw movie footage of the chariots that are at the bottom of the Red Sea over 40 years ago on TV when Colonel John D. Craig presented the footage he had filmed while scuba diving in the sea. They are down deep enough that the iron hasn't rusted away to nothing. The line of chariots symbolize God's hatred for Pharaoh and his army and God's love toward his people the Jews.
God may love those who sin against him. But he loves those that follow his commandments more. The ultimate indication of his love toward certain people and hatred toward others are the judgements. He will judge believers first and allow them to remain in Heaven. But at the Great White Throne Judgement at the end of time, those who have rejected God will be cast into the Lake of Fire as Revelation 20 indicates. God may love them to the end. But his love can't save them from their fate which they have decided upon by rejecting him.
God shows his love toward everyone since he is not willing that any should perish but that all should believe as stated in Second Peter 3:9. But those who are not one of his can't be loved as much as his followers are. Would a human father love a child who was not his? The same must be true for our Heavenly Father. He demonstrates a degree of love by not destroying unbelievers outright. But he protects his own and will forever care for them. It's just like when a teacher says she loves her students. But she loves her own children more because they are a physical part of her. Christians are spiritual Children of God and will have more privileges than those who are not Children of God.
We should love one another and even love our enemies, as Jesus commanded in Luke 6:27. But we should be expected to show more love toward other believers than toward unbelievers. We may spend more time around unbelievers on the job and should show love toward them. But we should love our families more and be willing to do things for them we would never do for those not a part of our family.
God can't force people to love him. Neither can unbelievers force God to love them so much that he will take them to Heaven despite the fact that they have rejected salvation. That would violate God's Word and make the sacrifice on the cross worthless. God's love for everyone was demonstrated on the cross and the payment for God's love was the blood of Christ. But unless someone accepts Jesus as their Saviour and repents of their sin in order to become a Child of God, he can not be shown the full love of God like believers are shown.
The ones who attempt to destroy the Jews are dealt with appropriately by God. The Abrahamic Covenant states that God will bless those that bless the Jews and curse those that curse the Jews (Genesis 12:3). Those who have attempted to destroy the Jews have been destroyed by God. The same will be true in the last days. God will destroy those who try to destroy Israel during the Battle of Armageddon. Radical Muslims may think they will destroy the Jews. But they will be destroyed by the God they mistakenly believe they are serving.
God loves his own more than he loves the followers of Satan. He may show love toward them to try and win them to himself. But until they love him, he can only love them to a degree and no more.
